Thumbs up on this one. For at least 95% of the people who ever buy a watch, this price range is where we are...my collection is 16 watches strong, and 15 of those are between £10 and £300. We don't mind drooling over more expensive watches, but this is bread and butter stuff. Cheers mate.
We need the wife’s opinion
Wife: you already have a watch
He doesn't have a lot of them yet so you have to wait for the future individual review
Hands up. Who only comes here for The Wife’s opinion?
The Wife could say: Really? Another one?!
@@paulpowis5914lulz.. I do enjoy hearing her opinion 😊 but ONLY?..naaah.. here for the whole bundle!
Great selection, thanks! A friend left me £200 in his will to buy anything I liked in his memory and I chose a Timex Waterbury. It's a good, solid watch that looks more expensive than it is and I have no complaints. Every time I look at it, I think of my friend. Congrats on topping 81K subs.
That’s brilliant, thanks for sharing. Nothing holds sentiment like a watch 👍
@@Crall-xb8he 💯👍
I got a ray 2 last year as my first mechanical watch, mostly because seiko was out of my reach at the time, and since then no one has bothered talking about the ray, only the mako and kamasu, so glad someone finally appreciates this watch, even if only in passing
Hey the Orient Ray 2 is a fantastic watch! Sure it won't make the cover of fancy watch magazine but for those of us in the know it is a well respected watch!
@@gregleingang9409 damn straight. I wear a casioak as my daily work watch since I’m knee deep in grease and grime, but when I get home the Casio comes off and the ray goes on, it’s a great everyday piece.
Wear my blue ray 2 on rubber strap from long island watch everyday for years. Great watch great movement. Great watch for the money.
I bought that Citizen when it first came out back in the 90's for scuba diving. The depth sensor can also display the current depth in the digi display. Looks great on the wrist imho. My favourite watch ever. All the dive instructors in the far East ( & elsewhere probably) used to wear them.
I also knew some military people wearing those ana-digi Citizens, if I'm not wrong you could also track another time zone in the display or am I.
Greetings from Poland. I've recently discover Your channel and i love IT. Keep up great worki!
Gracias por tus consejos Benny 👍
Some really great choices here. Thank you so much for your time and efforts to share these with us all. Much appreciated. I hope the family are all doing well.
I love that Seiko field watch.
This was a great list with each one being a great option for the price. Great review as always 😊
Bought an absolutely awesome Orient watch called the "Analyst" or "Herald" back around 2015-16 from Long Island Watch. It is a perfect dress watch however, it stopped working about six months ago and since it is no longer available and very few have even heard about it and without the availability of parts it is now my favorite paperweight.
Thanks for this video, I liked it a lot. I love shopping on Amazon, mainly for security.
This was a particularly good video! Thanks for all your content.
As always a great video. Finally we can buy some good budget friendly watches.
Great list Russ. The Bulova is a cool story!
Excellent picks there Russ! My GP is a watch guy and he bought a Mil Ships recently. He loves the watch but he did say the lume is very poor. So much so he's looking into having it re-lumed.
Love your choices, and food for thought! I will eventually have a Seiko GMT. Great show!
Stellar show. Great energy! 👏
I tried the Timex when it came out because I LOVE the look especially for the price. Keep in mind I have never had a super compressor style watch so maybe this is normal, but I was never able to get the inner bezel right at 12 o’clock again. I would push in the crown, start to tighten it, and the bezel would move slightly of 12. Drove me crazy, had to return it
Times looks nice on photos but less nice in person
Great Video Curly
I own the big Bambino with small seconds. The champagne dial is stunning, and it's not flat. I typically pair it with a NATO strap crafted from antelope leather, which gives it a unique steampunk vibe.
I’ve bought a number of Casios for myself and as gifts from Amazon. Casios make amazing gifts, everyone who I’ve gifted a Casio have loved them. They love the vintage, retro look and feel of Casios.
I inherited the original Aqualand from my dad. It wears smaller than the size would indicate. Absolutely love it!
Love your efforts brother!!! keep making more of these
perfect timing as always
Great video. I love that these are watches you actually want and not me too generic watches everyone says everyone else is supposed to buy.
That's a fantastic selection! It's always exciting to explore a range of watches with varying price points. Whether you're looking for a stylish budget-friendly option or a more high-end timepiece, having a diverse list can cater to different preferences and budgets. Thanks for sharing your favorite Amazon watch picks-it's sure to help others find their perfect wrist accessory! ⌚👌💼
As fort water resistance, Hydraulic Press Channel did some pressure tests and found all watches cheap to expensive went double their depth rating or far more before getting into trouble. The main issue was the caseback, they push in and stop the movement.
That's why REAL divers wear Vostok Amphibia watches.
All of your choices are sweet. You just gave me a ton of options for gifting. Plus, your entertainment level is off the scale. I always enjoy watching!
Good selection.
Very good show tonight, cheers
My Invicta Pro-Diver (sellita sw200 version) just got Stolen Yesterday... not exactly a happy chappy right now b'cos I'M BROKE TOO! lol This video may come in VERY handy, Thanks Russ! appreciated matey! 😊
Love the list..and the yodelling 😅
Nice video 😃 How about review of Steeldives , addiesdives and watch dives reviews ?
I had an Orient sport diver (70th anniversary) and the quality was exceptional for the price! I regularly wear Hammy and Oris and can easily compare it with the latter, which are much more expensive (in terms of the feel on the wrist!). I'm a huge fan of Orient now
I like the Ti Timex very much and also the Bulova. I think you nailed it and could be good choices to start a collection.
This is the first entertaining watch channel
Got the timex north and its 20 mm lug width... 8:08
Both UK and US Amazon sites show two Timex with one marked 50M on the case back. Both show 100M on the dial. 🤷🏻♂️ Great video. Have a great weekend!
Another great show!!
Love that Timex field watch ... 200m W/R ?!? ... fantastic.
Thanks for sharing your X-Mas list 😉
I'm really interested in a couple of these, I think the Bulova is top of My picks tho...
Of the eight watches I own, three are Amazon purchases (Invicta Pro Diver, Casio A-500, Casio DBC-11). Modern watches are certainly one of things you can count on them for.
Of course if you want something old-school, you have to go E-Bay.
I love/hate your channel. I have bought 8 watches within the last 2 weeks...mostly Casio. Watched 10+ of your vids plus some more Communities' vids. Keep up the great work, Kudos from Dallas, TX. (They are The Duro, Royale, Casio Smart, Citizen Tsuyosa, Citizen ProMaster Pepsi, and 3 Bamboo Quartz watches (1 shaped like Nautilus) links like oyster made of Bamboo ...we will see?
You should already have that Seiko 5 GMT! I wish it was a bit slimmer, but still my most beloved watch in my collection… yet
Was considering the Timex Expedition North so interesting seeing it on your list.
Love the channel! 1 request, could you do a video on field watches. Thanks!
You’re in my head lol. Been very close to getting that g shock 6900 solar/atomic. Have the regular one as my ultimate beater but solar is needed for the apocalypse 😂. That bulova has haunted me for years lol
I pre-ordered Ariel Adams G-Shock book - supposed to arrive Tuesday!
I love that Bulova
Yes.
Love the show 😊 Can anyone advise if there is an episode looking at after market straps ?
Waiting on a Timex Expedition Scout Solar I ordered for my Dad to come in the mail today. For less than 50 USD I figured it would be worth it. Timex watches usually give great bang for the buck and if the solar works well then he won’t ever have to worry about battery changes again.
Btw, the lug width on the Timex North Titanium is listed wrong on Amazon. It is truly 20mm. I own one and it’s on the larger side but wears incredibly well!!
I love your videos but every time that doorbell rings my dog goes crazy haha
I’ve stopped the dings of the doorbell now!!!!! It’s boings now!!!
That seiko you want isn't only awesome, it's perfect, beautiful, more good looking in person than in pictures. You also can buy the SRPG39 (also looks way better in person) and put on a Nato strap and you save some money because it looks very similar
The first watch mentioned can be modded easily by putting in colored gel film in the various windows. Not that I have that watch, but I've seen videos of people doing it. Good list!
At the end of the video you should do a bloopers segment with things that got cut out. 👍🤔
Love both of the Timex and the Seiko Field. Hate the Citizen. Brilliant story about the Bulova!
Not bad... not bad... I'd tweak a few options but every watch would at least be on my 'honorable mentions' list. I'm not big on the Timex bandwagon but recognize the value. I'd probably go AE1200 or MTP-1183 -> Pagani 1701 or Berny T2566 -> Orient Ray/Mako II or Bambino -> Bulova Clipper 96A242 -> Hamilton King Khaki. As a ringer, I really like the smaller military watches such as the Tactical Frog Militado. I have the San Martin version but it's become one of my top 10 watches lately.
I have a Waterbury, not that exact one you suggested. I like it although the rubber band it comes with has a stupid way of fastening. You are right about about the Bambino strap it is awful, put mine on a Barton strap and it's levelled it up massively
I'd have the 200 ish seiko. Lovely watch.
I just bought a seastar 1000 from Amazon. An Invicta pro diver was inside the tissot box.
Congratulations with your new seastar 1000 😭
Morning! I need a new daily so right on cue with the list
Have you had a look at those sugess chronographs with seagull movements?
Nice vid> what machine is powering the Timex Auto Titanium??? where is it made. Thanks
You are loud, you are extravertic, your videos are heavily edited, I thought I won't stand you.
But I love you. And your intro is second to none.
Thank you very much for sticking with me my friend!!!
I would like to hear more about the Expedition North Field Mechanical 38mm as it has a Chinese movement which I am not sure about, but the looks and size are great imo.
I would add the Citizen blue angels, that watch is under 400 USD and that’s an incredible value for money
OOooOOh I'm kinda diggin' that Timex!... That's a First!😮
Haha! I always wondered why I didn't care for the Orient logo and you nailed it.
All-righty: Good list, as per-usual. But: I would've put Casio's A1100 series in as an Honorable Mention…no, haven't gotten it yet, but I'm sorta on the verge (just put out the bucks for a Weishi timegrapher…I'm in scary-deep now, right?) The way I *have* plumped for, as you know, is the very Seiko 5 Sports GMT you highlighted on that list. I'm seriously hoping you give that a go - I think it's the best of the series, not least because its the only version whose bezel numerals are legible at *any* angle in the light, regardless of what lovely tricks the lower half of the bezel is doing (which are cool enough).
I saw the mil ships the other day. Brilliant watch. Little expensive for specs though.
It's a crime that a desirable Seiko starts at £250. What happened to the sub $100 Seiko? I expect to pay more for an ISO certified Prospex diver, but not a Seiko 5 field watch.
Personally I think the desirable Seikos start with the Prospex range nowadays. The 5 series watches give the look at relatively cheap prices but are mostly lacking in the specs department.
Shame that Bulova hasn’t got a man’s size strap, if it had a 20mm that would be an epic beater watch
SSk021 is also a nice option it looks like the 001 but with a gold bezel and accents
Wow you actually found a time it said I wouldn't feel I was wasting my money on. Littlefield watch is pretty cool
Nice! Great to see Bulova included on your list. They sure make some downright ugly watches, but this one and the lunar pilot, which I personally own and love, are great and beautiful watches imho
That Timex looks interesting
The problem with the Expedition North field is it runs on a Miyota 8 series engine. With the exhibition caseback that means it's going to be loud whenever you move your arm.
Also: that photo of the Waterbury diver is an error. All the photos on the Timex UK website show 100m on the caseback.
whats that rubber band on the kamasu ?
What strap Kamasu on? Looks like a clockwork republic but all the Seiko comparable correct?
Hope you look into more Chinese manufacturers like Seestern, San Martins.
Can’t do it man! Know their could value for money but don’t like the copycat design business tactics
@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR yeah, I can definitely understand your point of view and lot of people would agree with you as well. But in a country like India, the watches you categorise as affordable is luxury 😂 that's where these Chinese homages bring great value with amazing designs.
20 Orient and a box of matches please.
I owned the original Aqualand C020 as well as the Full Lume JP2007. These watches are no joke, very comfortable and nice to wear..
The sensor isn't just for decompression alarm, it is also a depth gauge that you could track and record your dives with!
Very cool watch
The aqualands wart is the depth sensor 😅😅
You are!!!
I swear, if watches were still cool to everyone, your crazy transitions would be very common memes across the entire internet
Hey you’ll finally by a GW6900 ? Do you plan to make a comparison video with the DW6900 ?
On the Timex website it says the Expedition North Titanium has a Strap and Lug Width: 20 mm, the Amazon page is wrong
Yes my friend .
Expedition North Titanium does not disapoint. They beat Hamilton at their own game.
Hello,
I love your videos (especially the CASIOs). I think you are doing a great job. I think you have even infected me with the CASIO Virus. Unfortunately, I don’t have a wife that is keeping me from spending ridiculous amounts of money on watches. I have even ordered a CASIO G-SHOCK G-LIDE GWX-5600-1JF from Japan. I hope it looks as spectacular as in the pictures.
For the office I normally wear watches that I have made myself from parts (started that about 1.5 years ago) since they go better with a suit, but over the weekend and on holidays I have started to wear more and more CASIOs.
Keep up the good work!👍
I can't help myself. But the Bulova Milship looks like a BlancPain wrapped in a G-String 👙
Ooof... I don't know about that first Timex. I'd probably go with their 43mm Harborside in the $139 range. And I hate the fact that the Citizen doesn't appeal to me. I'm sure it's a quality piece.
Off to Japan on Monday, going to buy my first Seiko! Any suggestions? Under £500 because I’m a tight wad!😂
I think I’m going for the blue Seiko 5 GMT. I can get it for £275 in Yobadashi Camera!
You might find that watches in Japan are strangely rather more expensive than they are in the UK. That may be because watches sold in Japan are actually made in Japan while the export ones have Japanese movements cased in China, Thailand, or elsewhere. Then of course there are the Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) models, which is where some real rarities are to be found.
Got the blue GMT one shown on this video for 42000 yen in Bic Camera, which is at the current rate £233. Bargain! And I like the fact it has printed on it made in Japan.
Packet of toilet rolls, haha, priceless
I still can’t see paying $700 for the regular releases. With the previous model going for around $400, the price hike, with a worse movement doesn’t seem like a good idea.
Clicccckkkkk ittt 😂
for me amazon is much better place to buy watch than joma shop
With 3rd party sellers, you can buy anything. Rolex, AP, JLC, anything.
So, is it just me or is the theme song sound like its sung by our main mad man here?
AE-1500WH-1AVEF 😉
Orient are apart of Epson, not Edison.
