- In this video, I set up a 10 vs 10 NPC fight between the Freestar Rangers (including some militia) and the UC Marines to mimic a battle in the Colony War. The Freestar Rangers are the elite protectors of the Freestar Collective and the UC Marines are the backbone of the United Colonies’ military. Comment on what you want to see next!
The AI seems alot smarter than Fallout 4. Like a mind of their own.

A lot of people just write Freestar off as space Texas because Akila looks like a western town. When it's clearly just a stylistic and cultural choice on their part. The people who live there want to live a rugged life. They want to stick with their Roots. They choose to live on a very hostile world. But they're free. A lot of people also forget that neon is technically the biggest city in Freestar and part of the Freestar Collective. And that Freestar won the war. Even though there's only a dozen or so Rangers. I'm willing to bet gameplay limitations aside, in lore or in universe, one Ranger is probably worth two dozen Marines in a fight.
Especially when you realize do you see has a class system, non-citizens are treated terribly, even if you're born there you have to earn citizenship. And most soldiers and Marines don't even want to be soldiers or Marines. They're pretty much fed propaganda or strong-armed into doing it so they can get their citizenship and enjoy their lives
Now I know why UC even has better weapon but still lost the war: they dont know how to use them well just stand there and get shot. And in round 2 UC soldiers finally understand when you have a minigun all u need to do is to put your finger on the trigger steadily, and then won
They need their Xenoweapons 💯
They didn’t lose , both sides gave up essentially . But xeno marines wernt the frontlines or rangers . It was mecha vs xeno weapons
They only say they “won” cause the iv agreed to prosecute the leaders of the military who committed war crimes during war
Notice that in both rounds rangers spread and find their own spots, but UC bunched up together, being a great target for grenades.
Hurrah for Freestar! (I like them because based wild-westerners)
