How to Plant Bluebells - Brimwood Farm's New Bluebell Wood

­Bluebells are not only beautiful but English bluebells are in danger of being outcompeted by the Spanish variety. Luckily I've got some woodland to plant, and in this video I'll show you how to plant bluebells and how we're making a new bluebell grove.

Awesome project! If you're still at this property, I would love to see a 2023 or 2024 update. If those bluebells survived they would be at full adult age now, which would look magnificent.

What's wrong with the Spanish bluebell... ?

​@@matheya In the UK, the Spanish Bluebell is competing & creating hybrids with the English Bluebell, which dwindles its population & genetic pool. In other words, the invasive bluebell is killing our native bluebell! Hope that makes sense. Both are pretty flowers.

I bought 30 Bluebells in my garden in England , Kent, last April 2021, planted within days, at North South & East facing positions, nothing absolutely nothing has emerged, a year later.

I encourage US and Canada have their own native bluebells. East Coast US' is Virginia bluebells: www.wildflower.org/plants/result.php?id_plant=mevi3
