@@andrenikolai1061 the 5600x is good but if you wanna go cheaper you can get 5600 for a similar performance, or if you have a higher budget you can get the i5 13600k for 300-400$

@@andrenikolai1061 i5 13600k beats 7600x in productivity, 7600x slightly beats 13600k in gaming, if you plan to upgrade your gpu you need to go big, for the 7600x the perfect combo is either 3080 or up or Rx 6800 XT or up, the 13600k is also similar.
I'd rather:
CPU: 5600 -saved $150
cooler: included - saved $150
MB: B550 -saved $200
RAM: 3600 cl16 -saved $100
SAVED on platform: $600
So I can get a 6800xt on just what I saved alone! That means I save $450 (-3060ti).
At the end of the day, 6800xt > 3060ti, since GPU is what matters for gaming, anyway. Guys, don't throw money at these companies.

Right but this rig will allow for an upgrade path with AM5, so that means he can do a GPU jump later on and upgrade everything else without having to swap to the new architecture.
@@exargyromeno3648likely several generations down the line of gpu as well before cpu forced bottleneck occurs... my last pc was a 4790k with a 780ti then swapped out the 780 for a 1080 and it still didn't have bottleneck issues.

i think you would want to include cpu temperature on gaming benchmaks.
HWMonitor and other sensors don't work on the new boards due to BIOS revisions.
What a contrast back in 2013/14 i could build a pc for around 1500$ with a 780ti and an i7. Now it is with a 3060ti😕🙃

My PC has i5 6600k + rtx 2060. Since it is a bit old, I am just considering an upgrade, though I can run some games such as Dota 2 under 4k. I am now a bit confused by the video, since it is only targeting on 1080p or 1440p gaming with latest Ryzen… Is there any benefit upgrading after all?

With an RTX 2060, You just need to change your processor and motherboard. B550 and 5600 will be fine under 500$.

I had to replace my I-5 with new parts because my mobo died. The CPU was 200 the board was 150 and the ram was 100 Id say it's not that expensive.. i kept case psu and ssds. Dec 2022.
I know the video is all about the 7600X but it seems miss matched for this price point (for gaming). You can easily squeeze a 3070ti into a 1500 dollar build with AM4 or 12th Gen and that will probably result in more frames as the GPU is the limiting factor in modern games not the CPU. If you want a workstation or a mix use PC than the 7600X probably makes more sense but if it is just straight gaming well...

@@lampdostuff2746 The 3070 would be welcome and might be easier to squeeze in with a bit of work. This guy is already over the advertised 1500 though. Unless by some miracle the X670 boards cost less than low end X570 boards there is no way what he has there is 1500.
@@TheWoolyninja4 the 3070ti is 5% better than a 3070. Stop mis-informing people weirdo. The nvidia line-up atm is not the way, you can get a 6800xt for $550, which is on par with a 3080 10GB.

I would definitely choose 7600x, cause in the long run you will be able to install newer CPU without changing your motherboard, making it much more cost effective )

as a general rule, get the best GPU possible and build around it. 5600 non x might make more sense than the X version. check that too.

Umm you can’t sit there and say Intel doesn’t have as many nvme spots. I have 2 z690 boards and both have 4 nvme slots. It’s just a new standard of slots and I’m glad amd is finally getting as many.

If you are gaming at 144 Hz or under, there's no need to splash out on a 7600x.
You can feel between 144 FPS and 300 FPS on 144 Hz monitor so i think ıts what it is

Wtf are AMD smoking. The 7600x with DDR5 and motherboards costs a ton, when a 12600k with DDD4 and motherboard will save you a fortune. The absolute worst of all, they set the power limits so it hits 95 °C, when its proven all over the net a 2-5% performace drop with an undervolt and temp limit can hit as low as 50 - 70 °C with large power usage drop. They pushed them too hard at default for a 5% boost. What a xxxx up

More like $2300. This guy was really disingenuous with this build and thinks his viewers are idiots. He neglected to mention the motherboard he used was $500. Even with a cheap MB when it comes out this is still a $1.9-2k build when all is said and done. Edit* Also left out the fact that he used separate thermal paste. Although cheap still adds to the cost. So ya look at my cool new Ryzen build for $1500 that's really more like $2300-2400.

This is horrific. No one buy the 7600x if this is your budget. Get a 12400F/12600KF/5600/5700x instead and spend more on the GPU. You'll get much better gaming performance by going from a 3060Ti to a 3080 12GB/6900XT/6800XT with the savings you make from not getting AMD's new overpriced platform at this budget
