Great video. Please send this to the Railway minister. Absolutely no safety . This is a very dangerous job , working between mighty active running rail engines , no safety gloves, no helmet, no safety shoes, Indian railway is a huge corporation and it must take care of their employees.
Appreciate your concern, but no safety helmet, gloves and shoes would be able to protect him if he gets crushed between those engines. Some systems are better left simple manually operated.
@@venkteshsingh4746 Basic safety is imperative. I do agree when there is a catastrophic failure as you mention getting crushed , nothing can protect you. This is not what a worker would expect to happen easily , or else the employee would not be in the work force. Head , leg , hand injuries are very common in such work environment, which otherwise could be prevented by a simple hard hat , heavy duty gloves and steel toed boots . As a matter of fact world wide , not just in India , disabilities and death caused by reckless work place injuries are very common. I am safety trained and I can tell you so many people have accidently hit their heads or had loose objects hitting their heads , causing blunt force trauma, people have died or paralyzed for life as a result , if only they had a hard hat covering their head they would have gone home to their families . Employees have lost their feet and hands due to serious jamming -- If this work environment does not call for these basic safety needs then there is a serious safety issue.

I have been through this route a couple of times. This one was special for two reasons 1) this journey was exclusively of the view through the ghats. We boarded the morning train reached mangalore. Spent 4 hours on the beach and had dinner and ice-creams. Boarded the night train and returned back to Bangalore the next morning. 2) The sky was clear and there was no fog. Except light showers. So the view was brilliant which we enjoyed for almost 2+ hours. The roadway passes shiradi at a much lower height while the railway passes the ghats at higher elevation. Always fascinated by this route and every time is a new experience.
Bloody hell. Railways Board members should be arrested immediately for allowing these technicians to work without safety PPE like hard hat, safety shoes, leather hand gloves etc. Most callous attitude.
This is how the smugglers used to stop the train in Ethiopia - they break the tube connection and the train stops automatically. Then they do their dirty work 😁

How come buffers are needed if there are couplers?
In case a coupler brakes on impact, the buffers could work as shock absorbers and avoid further damage to the rail vehicle.
