Snake Plant is a species of flowering plant, which it really doesn't look like, from the family of Asparagaceae. The scientific name of the snake plant is Dracaena Trifasciata and is commonly known as Saint George's sword, mother-in-law's tongue, and viper's bowstring hemp.

There's no such thing as luck. Snake plants are one of the easiest plants to care for. I literally have one sitting outside of my door and water it once or twice a week. Not fussy at all. I live in so cal so the weather is not cold. The heat does not phase it

I have a snake plant in my home and the longest leaf is four feet tall, it's the easiest plant to care for, the heat in the summer and cold in the winter doesn't seem to bother it at all.

Wonder why this person hates snake plants? Quote NASA It states "NASA study says snake plants can produce enough oxygen for humans to live in a sealed room." I water my pots every other week. They are healthy and easy to care for. It is well known that they help filter the indoor air. I love them for the color. It's great to take off on a vacation and not worry about watering. There are so many different sizes of Snake plant that look great in any room.

Totaly wrong information. I have lot's of snake plant at my home. It have uncountable benefits.
I only watched this video to actually see what the disadvantages were--I have a huge one in my living room and it is the most forgiving plant in my house. It requires little care,
loves the temperature regardless of summer of winter and I only water it once a month. NASA rates this plant as one of the top eight purifiers. This video falls short on all
the benefits this plant has to offer. How sad.
