I said it for the E.T. IMAX trailer, and I will say it again. As someone who wasn’t alive when the original was released and only grew up watching it on home media, seeing this trailer makes me very hyped to see it in theaters, the way that it was meant to be seen! 😁
Saw it on the big screen back in 2012. Was a hot day and we had all spent the day at the beach and then as the sun went down I suggested us all go see Jaws which had been re released. A few of my friends hadn’t seen it so we all went. Was a great day
@@ricosuave9060 I remember I had to lake a walk out of the theatre for a moment because it was so intense. Can't wait to see it on the big screen again.
I was fortunate enough to see it on the big screen three times locally over the past decade. Truly it’s an incredible experience with the surround sound and a theater full of fans. I cannot wait for the opportunity again!
One of the few films that I will call timeless. A film that captures the terror of the unknown more than almost all others. It improves with age. That is the sign of a masterpiece. A perfect film.
The greatest written film with stellar visuals and amazing performances. I am literally so excited to watch this, I just remember me and my dad watching it all the time.
Back then the warning in the Jaws trailer was “this film may be too intense for younger children.” Now it’s “this film contains depictions of tobacco consumption.” My, how times have changed.
I am so thankful to have gotten to see it in theaters. My dad was a kid when it initially released in 1975 and I kept saying for years that I always wanted to get the same experience, sure enough I got my wish!
I lived on Martha's Vineyard at the time the movie was being made. I remember seeing "Bruce", one of the mechanical sharks, sitting on a flatbed trailor with a tarp over it's back. Bruce was missing his prothesis, so there was a giant bolt visible that connected his lower jaw to his head. I chuckled to myself and thought: "they're going to make a movie with THAT?"
Jaws is one of those movies that no one, I repeat NO ONE needs to change. It is a master class at suspense and horror that keeps you on the edge of your seat.
The greatest ever made movie about a shark . The greatest ever original true shark classic . This movie truly was the very first ever summer Block buster . That Summer of 1975 on that day of June 20th,. The Greatest Movie Ever swam in to our shores and gave us the future.
Gonna need a bigger Cinema. Will be there for the release in Australia. If you or a family member are 1 of the minority that has not seen this Summer Blockbuster Classic. Get to a IMax cinema near you.🦈🦈🦈. Would love to watch it from the water like I have seen from the USA. Before they show it they should have a minute silence for the actors/crew with the names & pics on the screen & Bruce. RIP.😪😪😪. Gone but never forgotten.
Like many things, a matter of opinion. If “Jurassic Park” was showing on a big screen in my back yard, and “Jaws“ was showing on TV, my butt’s on the couch watching Jaws for the 347th time...
I didn't get to see it in IMAX, but I did see it in a Standard Theatrical Screening at the Cinema and it was breathtaking. Goes to show the Cinema is the ultimate place to watch Movies.
I really like the end with the music removed for Brody's iconic line. I've seen Jaws so many times it's strange that everything gets so quiet after the shark appears.
I have never seen Jaws in theaters before, but I hope to see it this Labor Day weekend in an IMAX theater. After all, it is the original summer blockbuster in a way never-before-seen by audiences, just three years shy of its 50th anniversary. And as the late Percy Rodriguez said in the original theatrical trailer: “See it…before you go swimming.”🦈
Man this is awesome man I wanna go see it in the theater I have all four of the movies but just seen the original in IMAX it doesn’t get any scarier than
I like the trailer of Steven Spielberg's Jaws very classic it makes summer more scary than it seems i love Martin Brody and his face Martin's face is to love he is definitely Gorgeous
Ok, we didn’t get a bigger boat, but we got a bigger screen! This movie ruined the summer of 75 for me. I saw it at a drive in theatre on Cape Cod when I was 6 years old. Our house was right on the bay and remember not sleeping at all that night. I was convinced the shark could get into the house. I can’t remember swimming at all that summer. The movie happened to be playing on the TV when I got home last night and will be seeing it in IMAX today.
That's a shame. Same thing happened with my son and I back in 2012. Universal released it in theaters just before the blu-ray release. Even though it was a Saturday 2pm show in July, I thought there would be a decent crowd.
John Williams makes this movie on his own, don’t get me wrong the actors are great but in terms of atmosphere... John Williams all the way! With that said the only thing I have left to say is show me the way to go home I’m tired and I wanna go to bed, I had a little drink about an hour ago and it’s gone right to my head…
The only theaters that i could was AMC Hampton Towne Centre 24 (next to a Chuck E. Cheese), AMC Georgetown 14, and Regal Commonwealth and IMAX - the rest was either showing Top Gun: Maverick again or Brahmastra Part One: Shiva.
Jaws is my favorite movie of all time and I rather see this again than seeing sharks in a tornado or prehistoric shark with a terrible plot don't get me wrong Jaws has its flaws lol but honestly I like the fact that the movie focused on Chief Brody trying to do his job an protected his family and the community from a killer shark what makes Jaws more terrifying is that not only the fact that this shark doesn't look too close to a great white at all it looks more monstrous tbh which is totally cool and in my opinion makes for better character but it's ability to defy the laws of physics and have some terrifying attack strategies makes it one heck of a monster shark I love the chemistry between Hooper, Brody and quint just a couple of men hunting down a killer shark on an epic conquest to destroy and save the citizens of Amity Island from another shark attack legendary absolutely legendary
For it to fill an IMAX screen, they'd have to zoom in as it was shot in anamorphic 35mm, not flat Super-35 to show extra stuff. There simply isn't extra stuff on top and bottom to show in this case, so zooming in would make you lose stuff left and right just like in the 80s and 90s videos and broadcastings.
