I am so happy to have found this video. I am a Senior and live in a rural area in Southern Ontario. I did have my well cleaned a few years ago and since it is a dug well I do have to watch my csmn. Anyway lately I have had to clean my kettle with vinegar more often and there is sediment there. I do have a water softener, and until you did this video I did not know about cleaning it like you show. Today I went out and bought the product you recommended, however, yesterday after watching your video I checked my tank and topped up the salt, so the instructions on the bottle say to use when the salt is low, so I will have to wait for that. MY softener is not the same make as yours so I am not sure once I do take the top off if I will be able to follow your instructions. I did get a test kit yesterday as well to test the hard water level but it does not say to use a line with or without the water softener. So can you tell me where I should get the water from to do the testing. Any help you can give me would be appreciated as i don't want to get sick if there is something I should be doing. Thank you in advance
I just checked mine in a house we purchased in April of last year. Water hasn’t felt right since we moved in. Finally looked at the Venturi and it had the screen on top of the washer and o ring. The small jet wasn’t in the round dish since the screen holds it in place. Fingers crossed this takes care of the problems.
