Well Angelic does have Wolverine and Vergil instead of Wolverine when he's playing Zero like here. So he does have high tiered characters on his team unlike Sacktap.
True but having 3 near-death characters means that you only have to deal with lvl 1. X-Factor that runs out pretty quickly. Opponent will also be very careful with calling assists as that means insta-death.
As someone who dont play UMvC3, it was so boring to see every player picking the same characters and spamming the same cheesy strategy. Congrats to the dude who played Ghost Rider and Arthur, he was the only one doing something fun and enjoyable to watch.

It's a shame I could only watch the first Sacktap match. This game is still a snooze fest for as long as Vergil, Zero, or Doom are on the screen. Which is 99.99999% of the time. Boring as shit. I'm an Angelic fan too, his Shuma was always a treat to watch. Doom is just literally unwatchable at this point. For a long time now.

Check out channels of Marlin Pie and Kevin Ha, Marvel Gods who are both holding tournaments, and playtesting two new prototypes that are contending for the sequel we never got. While many in the US forgot about Marvel, the Japanese see what I see - the chess of fighters., and so they dismantled the PC version in order to hack something new out of the existing framework. It's super impressive, actually because everything looks native as if released by Capcom themselves. FYI UMVC3 EX makes all characters viable with novel and inventive buffs that don't break the game, and Palette Swap adds several new chars including Capn Marvel, STARS Wesker, Phoenix and Maya, and MvC2 Sentinel (he's my fav, what a brute!). And hit Maximilion's Twitch to see the Twitch Rivals tournament held last weekend, which was stupid hype like more than I could have imagined. Holy shit that Grand Finals... Marvel 2020 let's go

Maybe for Americans for the last few years, but never in the eyes of real Marvel players, particularly the Japanese Marvel Gods who understand, as you and I do, that MvC is the pinnacle of fighter mechanics. Even infinite touched upon the next natural evolution - metered guard breaks and active switching, and Perfect introduced x-factor cancels and universal air Dashing (almost - thanks Hagar). I see the upcoming fan built marvel sequel being a combination thereof - ideally where players can choose at the beginning of each match whether they want to run traditional x-factor or x-factor cancels. That would greatly enhance the meta, with each player deciding how to play their main on the fly given the opponents choice, and vice versa for serious mind games and it’s be very cool to see how the two clash. To me that would be closer to infinite’s ideal vanilla feel, with more choice (cause marvel is about self expression) but without the shitty stones. I’d love to see some form of active switching in the final hybrid as well, cause x-factor + active switching + reverse assist call into active switch again, which resets into a disgusting mix up... cause for me, marvel always be about the scrambles.
@@AlexDanielski the way i see it the reason why marvel is so dead in NA is die to couple key things. #1 same teams being played over and over again (morgan doom vergil) (zero, someone, vergil) , it gets boring to watch morgan amd morgan mirror matches in every top 3. #2 one touch win potential is too high, if you build your tram right you can one touch kill and win . #3 the zero support and updates we get from the devs on glitches like the infinite. i mean pretty much garantee dark phoenix if you hit just one infinite as F champ has used many times.

Zero, Morrigan and Phoenix ruined this game. Doom kinda sucks by himself and he makes like 60% of the teams in this game viable, Zero especially is not only annoying and oppressive to fight against but also insanely boring to watch. We have one of the top Zero players in my area (No Life) and nothing makes me want to quit this game more.
