My knives are out and out tools, my favourite all rounder is the Essee 6HM it's a 6" knife that feels like a 4" and is full flat 1095 high carbon steel easy to sharpen and tough as your mother-in-law lol. I've a custom kydex sheath with a small ferro rod attached. I love my Essee 4's. Food prep is my SAK Ranger 55 or 79 and gives me tool options. My big knives are RAT7 or Essee 6s and I carry them rather than an axe. I always have a Laplander saw and a RAT model 1 folder. I've got Mora knives including the Garberg and Kansbol but they tend to get left in tackle bags and the boat.
excellent buddy , great comment
@@RedBranchBushcraft thank you sir, nice to watch you two chat and share your experience. I'm boring now, I've found what works for me and I stick with it.
That's the way I'm going to
Ahh look these two again!! Thanks for having me over buddy its always a great time.
Great craic! Cheers
Lol, i love Brunos tenacity and optimism....
hes always up for it
Bruno is a good boy. He was just bringing you a stick to demonstrate with.
Lol, of steal them
that hand-forged knife is awesome
Really nice
Like that! I could have easy be a part of your Knife Talk crew 😁
Interesting knife choises! Playing around with knives and talking about them is fun. Also I´m always curious to see new knifes and hear thoughts from different people about them.
Of course I appreciate when I can get good deals on knifes to grow my collection. Thanks for sharing! Cheers Torsten
cheers buddy, sorry it was so late and long!!
Opinel for food prep. If I'm going to be using a knife to process firewood Condor Hudson Bay. If I plan to do carving, I take a tool roll full of Beavercraft knives and gouges. For just general whatever Condor Hudson Bay mini and a larger Rngergrip Swiss army knife with a decent size saw. and awl.
Nice
For some unknown reason I keep buying fixed blade knives so I’ve got a big collection. The ones I’ve actually used are the Mora Classic which I took on Cody Lundin’s Desert Drifter course and a Gerber Strongarm. I used the Strongarm to baton wood and start a fire when everything was soaking wet.
Excellent stuff
Nice collection of knives👍, I have Cold Steel Leatherneck SF D2 knife very strong and well made
Excellent
Yes! I would buy a K-Bar if it was full tang instead of rat tail. Stihl frosty.
How cool would that be
I must not have a great taste of knifes I have 11 Mora's lol😂
Lololo
🎉😅
Cheers buddy
Personally, I don't think different types/styles/steels/sizes/grinds of knives should be tested the same. It's like having chopping as one of the tests and you try to do it with a 3" knife. Makes no sense....
I get you
