    Nice to see dog fish being cooked. I think it is the best thing to do with them especially if they are deeply hooked. Having struggled to skin dog fish ,I now put them in a pan of cold water, bring it slowly up to the boil and then the skin easily pulls off.
    Thank you both so much for all your great videos, fishing in all winds and weather just to keep us entertained. Have a great Christmas.Stay safe and tight lines. Mike.

      I just boil the kettle & pour the water over them then the skin easily scrapes off with a knife.

    Dog fish always seems better if frozen and defrost before cooking I find. I used to eat loads of it; deep fried, in curries, in fish cakes. A cracking eating fish if prepared well! Good on you both. 👍
    I prefer an edited video personally, but happy to watch the odd live stream after the event usually. Whatever you can do is great with me. Stay safe and keep on being bloody awesome. 😁

      Same I prefer edited videos the live will just be odd added extra. Fishcake is one we are thinking of trying with dogfish.

      @@Trojwaterman Please leave them up Troy - nothing worse than getting notifications that a new video has been uploaded, only to find they have been deleted before I've had chance to watch them. I binned one channel that was continually doing just that last year.

    Always enjoyed Rock Salmon at a chip shop. I eat sand shark and spiny dogfish over here in the States. I usually take the fillets off each side and then skin just like any other fish. Easy since they have no real bone! Enjoying your videos! You can soak over night in milk to take some of the extra taste out the flesh.

      @Trojwaterman  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's what I want to try next is the milk idea

    Great video Troy and Rebecca! The audio was a bit 'clunky' when you were down the harbour fishing, but a good session all the same. Top marks to Rebecca for the way she skinned and filleted out the Dogfish - never tried it but it looked delicious!
    Re Live streams, I'm not a fan because most channels upload them of an evening, and I'm usually cooking & eating tea, but if they are uploaded & left on the channel, I usually catch up with them the following day. Afternoons is when I have most time for youtube, but that probably wouldn't fit in with a lot of other folk. Seasons greetings - stay safe & well! 👍👍

      @Trojwaterman  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The wind was blowing hard and we had a bag weighing the tripod down and it did swing a bit so the sound does jump around with the cameras auto audio adjust. The live streams will be left up for a few days then deleted. Have a great Xmas

    I've never tried dogfish, watching that skinning etc I doubt i will, my mate has a doggie recipe that he swears by, clean and fillet the fish, cook in foil with two lemons and 10 cloves of garlic for two hours, take it out of the oven, throw the fish away and eat the foil......
