Omg i looked for my old youtube account and looked for the 4000 favourite video list and found this gem, great music, great video I literally just am about to cry... so good
Watching this and Robotic Man Meets His Past live for the first time years ago was something I think about a lot. Always come back for some great tunes.
They performed this at Red Rocks last weekend while showing parts of this music video on the screens and when I turned around to look at the audience's reactions everybody was geekin out at the characters - so happy, so carefree, perfection.
sooooooo Euphoric... especially transitioning to threes... best Dosio show i have ever been to. The night was perfect, could see the whole city of Denver light up behind the stage. Magical!
Seen Papadosio at Red Rocks a couple weeks ago. It was the best experience of my life! Mostly got to experience music from the T.E.T.I.O.S. album - and then they threw this song in there all DANK as fuck with some live improv, ooohh my goodness!
+William brown right? they will slay with this live. Glimpse of light is amazing live, when they dropped it at Imagine in Atlanta i was like OMG WHAT IS GOING ON
@@MorphisArtCollective No I think the whole party was a dream. Blue sitting alone in his apartment at the beginning has his eyes closed and starts shaking (maybe represent REM). Idk just how I interpreted this video.
Someone is depressed thinking no one cares about their birthday just pulling the shades down and calling it a day with their pup. But their friend understands how they feel and decide to connect with them and do something special because they are in a rut so they plan the surprise party. This simple action of kindness uplifts the depressed individual and they feel connected again. The lyrics: "Anyone's day A friend can save, By singing in their movie." Are particularly descriptive of the plot of the video. Just a wholesome ditty about how a friend can truly save someone's day and make a much larger impact than they might realize just by being present and supportive.
These guys are coming to town. I’ve heard of them, been to festivals where there players but didn’t catch them. So I’m on TH-cam trying to convince my self to buy a ticket. After several songs, I’m confused. I guess I need drugs to understand. I think I’d rather listen to a chain saw and lawn mowers. 😂
As cheap as tickets were for the ones i went to i feel you should have given them a chance. The setlist is different every night and you hardly hear the same version of a song twice with their improvisation. Maybe you wouldn't like that either, I'm just offering my unsolicited opinion that they're great live 😅
I'm pretty sure this song is about Protagonist Syndrome or Main Character Syndrome. I personally don't find the theme happy but narcissistic. "Everything this character does fits into this narrative that the person has ambitions, dreams, and obstacles, all leading up to a goal. But what are the obstacles? Other people obviously. Friends are all supporting characters, strangers are background characters." So basically here the main character reduces all of its friends to do a one dimensional piece of scenery, "a supportive birthday party".
It’s about depression and realizing you have friends who love you. Also about realizing that it’s not your movie, it’s everyone’s movie and most of the time you are just an extra in someone else’s movie.

when they played this live it was too good to be real. you couldnt do anything but smile the biggest smile you could muster
They played this at the Egyptian Room in Indy Feb of 16' and the atmosphere was pure bliss and love. It was something to behold man.
They played this at The Intersection in Grand Rapids. The atmosphere was pure vaporous...you could cut it with a knife...
How are good vibes not a mainstream thing? Such a feel good video!
This is better than any big budget music video.
