There's something oddly relaxing about the videos where Dan just waffles on. All just commentating pure stream of consciousness and he fills space with random sounds but he doesn't get too hyper or loud. I fall asleep to his long series videos all the time. Then when I need comedy I pick up his highly edited stuff. Especially the airport sim starting Voldemort.
I absolutely love all of the planet coaster videos, Nerd³ is the only person that actually builds things that are legit rather than just trying to kill everyone.
I love how this game actually gets the root systems for the trees right. The roots for the trees go right out to where the leaves end and water drips down called the ‘drip line’. That’s a level of detail I didn’t think devs would care about

Sure, but he has a really bad habit of over filling an area with stuff. I remember in his Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 play by the time he was done with the Atlantis area you could BARELY see the water under the walkways.
I started watching all of the planet coaster videos a month ago while I work and it's so lovely to have on in the background. Convinced me to buy the game and these videos are better than any tutorial (as if the game had any). Absolutely loving it and I now get why you were so focused on detail, the build tools and huge amount of customisation make this game an OCD person's paradise. BTW, you have an incredible eye for design, Dan, your builds are fantastic.

I think it's nice that you have so much attention to detail; it's kinda podcast-y, which is great when I'm working on my art level and just need some background shit that I can occasionally glance over to and think 'yep, he's still working on the snow' 🙌🏻
