Thank you for the kind comment! We find the N7 to be a pretty substantial upgrade over the Cayin N6ii EO1 in many ways. It does lack the modularity that the N6ii had, but the slimmer design and the sounds quality are top notch especially for it's price point.
They are both excellent choices really! The A&K SE300 will have a warmer sound which can be even further elevated by its class A output mode. The Cayin N7 has a brighter and slightly more detailed sound compared to the SE300. The N7 is also closer to stock Android meaning it's easier to get it up and running the way you want if you have ever used an Android portable before.

How does this sound compared to the Kann Ultra?
Currently I have an AK SE180 with SEM3. I love the sound but I think the OS is dated. Watching all these videos to determine an additional DAP to buy.

Yes, the Cayin DAPs use the full Android version of Tidal which includes offline play functionality.
