That anno job on the quietcarry turned out awesome. And the olive pioneer is an absolute BEAUTY! Any of my slip joints without clips get carried in the clip slip that came with my Civivi Rustic Gent. Works perfect.

How did you get on with the Bestech Junzi? I saw the intro session, but I don't think you did a review. I got the 'Twisted Assisted' UK 'special edition' made from less expensive D2 steel. Closest to my ideal slipjoint, but something slightly off with the ergonomics. I do like it enough that I'm still thinking the higher spec'd original...

Think about making slipjoints, trying to gauge interest in my design. Multiple different blade styles and Handle materials with coffin shaped handles on the larger side? Still not 100% on blade steel.

I love GEC knives, but they are so hard to get now at a good price. People buy them up fast and then go to ebay asking double what they paid for it. I hate when people do that. Ranting aside love your slip joint collection. That Apostle P knife is beautiful 😍.

That’s why I buy boker solingen knives they are just as nice and not hard to get

@@bomtradym4027 I have a Robert Klaas Kissing Crane that is from Solingen that is just as nice as a GEC. I saw it on a Messer HQ video and it's a great knife also.

BM proper is not designed to be an ultimate slicer but rather a heavy use daily worker, and does it fabulously, for me.

I'm surprised the Bestech Junzi didn't feature. It's got almost everything one could want from a modern slipjoint: great materials, versatile DP blade, good ergos and fit and finish, oho, finger choil, useful jimping top and bottom, reversible clip... As someone who can only edc a slipjoint (UK) the Junzi ticks the most boxes... Saying that, I currently carry the lovely Boker WC Davis small hunter. Less efficient then the Junzi but I fell back in love with its classic Loveless looks. Getting hard to find theses days unfortunately 😕. Anyway, great content as usual 👌

Spyderco pingo 😃 I use it when I'm outdoors through Winter; it's hard to operate knife locks and flippers with cold fingers. The pingo has a big piece of blade showing for a pinch grip opening. Open and close two handed.

What deep carry clip are you using on the Serge Razor Slipjoint?

I don’t remember it was from one of my budget knives I’ll try to find out for you 👌

Since i value my fingers I tend to favor stronger slipjoints and thinner blades, which rules out most detent slipjoints and various slipjoints especially the modern ones in general including the Benchmade Proper (weak snap and sloppy half-stop).
Love GEC and German Bokers in general. Recently been lusting over the Lionsteel Thrill.
Re: Lionsteel blade shape; heard the late, great A. G. Russell call it a Zulu spear blade; have heard same about heat-treat, still hesistant about Lionsteel.

I have one of those lionsteel ck warhorse in m390 and it's probably around 61 62 hrc I've only sharpened once and stopped a dozen times in a year beyond edge retention

I will probably eventually pick up another Lion steel and send it to get Rockwell tested to see if the fixed it because they have some awesome designs 👌🏻
