Great video! Both parts!) I have probably heard that voice before…”Dear passengers…. We are currently cruising at an altitude of 33,000 feet, and at an airspeed of 400 miles per hour. The time is now 8:25 pm and the weather outside looks just fine today. We are expecting to land in Budapest in approximately fifteen minutes ahead of schedule…” Thanks, Captain for sharing lovely footages from your “Old but gold” BMPCC OG! Peace :-)
It appears that i didn't apply any LUT to this, just tweaked the RAW image. I took a screen shot of the settings used but these were just by eye. Ed (ps my website is very basic) mycontrails.com/budapest/
Very very inspiring. Your work. Pls share the links / names of the gears u used. And where do we find them online. Especially want to understand the crane and the battery pack connection. The whole setup looks spectacular. Can the gimbal u use, hold up a heavier lens too like a tokina 11-16
Hi. I just got an og and lumix 12-35. What mic are you using (trying to figure out if mic input requires preamped and powered input or not)? How did you attach the external battery to the gimbal, just a diy solution? Thank you.
Trigger is a Lanparte LANC-01. You have to open it and toggle a little ‘dip switch’ to get it to work properly. Hi That's nice video. I'd like to ask you something, and I'd really appreciate your help. I recently bought a bmpccog and lumix 14-42 lens. But I can't focus. Do you know why?
Is it the manual focus switch or the focus button on the camera. You can do both with this lens. I’d start at the usual places. Make sure that the firmware is the latest. Clean the contacts. Hope you get it to work as it’s a great little lens? Ed
@@MyContrails Thank you for advice. I press the 'focus' button, there is no function that focuses, and only the 'focus peaking' function on the menu works. In addition, the manual focus ring of the lens is not in focus even when you turn it by hand. The lens is not broken. Are these problems the fault of the camera? Is it a problem with the firmware? It's hard for Koreans because they don't have anyone to answer this question. Do you know about this problem?
That was exactly what I was searching for - a video showcasing the BMPCC with this lens and a functional gimbal. Question: after balancing the camera on the gimbal, is it easy to remount the camera quickly once it's been removed?
It’s a quick release. You mount the camera to a ‘shoe’ then that attaches to the gimbal. External battery does away with the need to change the battery and a decent sized card also helps as you won’t need to open the battery door. Works well but the only downside is no manual focus. Pressing the focus button and having focus peaking enabled is a must. Ed
Lovely.
Thank you. Ed
heavenly ! take me with you!
can’t wait to see your next one mate!
Just the editing to do now. My least favourite bit. 😁 Ed
Great work!
Thank you. Just getting started. Ed

Hi! I noticed on your website photo, you have 2 filters on your Bmpcc. Variable ND but what's the other? Thanks
I use a standard UV or a CPL if I’m shooting water or cars.
OMG! Wonderful video! Just Subbed! Do you mind sharing your grading steps for this video? I can also reach out to you separately.
I’m no ‘colour grader’ it was just a rec709 LUT with some tweaks. All done by eye. I’ll try and look at some specifics. Ed
Thanks for checking! Cineon colorspace/ Davinci film look Luts or Davinci BM Luts? So Beautiful!@@MyContrails
Hey Ed any Grading specifics? I'm working on a project and would love to know your grading steps for that look :)@@MyContrails

Passive mic and just a diy solution for the battery. I’ll get a video out on it soon as some have already asked. Ed
Thank you.
And the trigger, it seems you have a separate little trigger, not using the trigger on the gimbal? How is that set up?
I’ll get the details and post it in the setup video. Ed

@@MyContrails Why no manual focus? Can't you just adjust it to infinity and leave it as is? I might pair it with the fully manual Laowa 7.5 lens.
This lean as far as I’m aware on the BMPCC has a zoom ring only. I don’t believe that it can be manually focused.
@@MyContrailsthis tiny beauty lens has manual focus "joystick" under the powerzoom
