It is wonderful that y’all have made it a mission to thrive on one outside income. Your children are so calm and happy. Having God as your family’s Head shows in your home.
❤❤ I love this. I have kids myself, and we have a new homestead here in north Oklahoma.. definitely subscribed to the channel. Your children are precious. I can feel the love in that house through the screen ❤
I really enjoy you and your beautiful family! Great meal ideas and creativity. It’s so nice to see a family who is so kind, helpful and loving to one another. It’s a rare thing nowadays. ❤️🙏🏻Val C
OMG. Stoup is what my depression era grandma called the weeks leftovers ( no matter what) added to a pot with broth n a couple of eggs( like egg drop soup) stew/soup = stoup. I make stoup weekly, it's just like your leftovers on the counter!
Best week of the month at our house is clean out the refrigerator week. With all the scraps Ive saved there's always vegetable soup, tacos, burrittos, enchiladas, stir-fry, meat saice, fried rice with meat, chili. I'm meticulous about dividing meat up for dinners and there is aways meat left in the freezer. BEST week of the month.
I heard a trick from a very lovely lady here on TH-cam, and she said, you can use up your leftover small bits of remaining jelly from the fridge by using it in bread instead of sugar. I saw her loafs and I must say they look perfect every time! I love your weekly meal videos keep them coming! ❤
I love watching your family's channel. Gives me great ideas on what to make for meals. Such a fun family to watch and enjoy. With God all things are possible.
Hello family! That beef you had, looks similar to pork neckbones. Not sure if you’re familiar. But slow cooked with bell pepper & onion they are delicious. Next time you have more beef meat like that, look up a neckbone recipe and try it out. I would love to see how it comes out! many blessings❤
Sweet Janice, you never fail to amaze the heck out of me with all the imagist ideas for meals. I’m saving this video for my son to watch later as he was having frustration coming up with ideas for new type of recipes. Love your whole family and continue to pray for all your wellbeing and success. With all the pieces of my ❤️ ❤️❤️❤️😇😇😇🫶🫶🫶🙏🙏🙏
I really like that with these meals there are usually a few alternatives if one item is not someone’s favorite. I know they are not picky but I still think it’s nice.
It is strange to enjoy your meal videos so much! It it interesting to see how to feed such a large family, plus get neat recipe/menu ideas, plus just feels like hanging out with you guys!
Or in Scotland we would make them into potata( tatties scones) simply add all purpose flour salt mix into firm dough to quarter of an inch cut into rounds or trian gles fry till golden brown. Beautiful with bacon fried eggs etc.
Hi Janice, I love your family. I just wanted to let you know that for the affiliate link to work we have to accept cookies otherwise you will not get credit so maybe mention that now on when you’re mentioning your link I just found this out 💗
Hello! This is the first time I have seen one of your videos. I'm so happy to find you. It also looks like we have several kids with the same name. 😉♥♥♥
Yay!! So very glad to have you here. You know, when I was trying to come up with names for our channel, Large Family Homestead was one of my top picks. You obviously have very good taste in names - for both TH-cam channels and children! :)
Just a suggestion, if you make Earl Grey tea orange citrus flavor hot tea add reg sugar to it, then take a handful of cherries put then in mouth, with a sip of hot tea. It truly taste like fruit loops. Just a suggestion.
I just... Love you all with all my heart. I love your food, your teamwork and please give Sarah my love cuz I know she asks about me and that fills me with joy xxx
I am trying to see other ways to use your traditional buttermilk. I know with WHOLE buttermilk you can make buttermilk fudge. It's not the traditional chocolate fudge, but more a caramel flavored fudge. I thought you might like the recipe some day.
Hi Janice i am not sure what is going on with my E mail but i just was sending you a comment and i am not sure where it went. So i am trying again. In my comment i was just saying that eating leftovers is a great way to save money and to not waist any food. I do this all the time cleaning out the fridge.
Sweet Janice as you pan around to your kiddos it just warms my heart cause you and Shawn make some beeuutiful babies! God blessed y'all with each other and then blessed children! I am excited to see what all you come up with. God bless y'all!
Yeah, we have no qualms about eating things past their expiration date, but it's still a good reminder for me to keep rotating through my stockpiles of food! :)
Enjoyed this video! It was great seeing how you made all the varieties of food and using leftovers.Sarah and David also daddy did an amazing job. And of course Mama!
These videos are such a treat because I feel lik I am sitting down with you guys for a meal. I loved spotting the tea and Rebekah sleeping peacefully on the table was so precious
Claudia, Sarah continues to have her cup of tea every single morning now. You picked out the perfect calendar to fit her. Thank you so much for that! :)
I love these What We Eat in a Week videos. I don't know why. It's just so interesting to see how you feed this large family on very little. Thank goodness they don't complain about eating those leftovers, because it certainly saves you so much money! Rebekah is so cute and getting SO smart as her 3rd birthday nears. Sarah, I need that banana chocolate chip muffin recipe! I looked up some recipes though. Have some frozen bananas I need to use up. Great video, as usual! David is so cute, great lil personality! lol Sam praying at the table was beautiful.
I just recently found your channel and have been watching your older videos, is there a reason that your family doesn't eat pork products? I just noticed that all your meat products don't contain any pork.
@@ozarkfamilyhomesteadGreat minds think alike! Absolutely love homemade whipped cream and I’ve been on a kick here lately where I have me a little bit just about every night, instead of ice cream. And I love nothing better than to take a pint mason jar, pour some heavy cream in and shake the dickens out of it until it’s thick and yummy. It’s really surprising how quickly it comes together. I do add just a pinch of powdered sugar to mine to sweeten it a tad. I really love it on fresh fruit, but most of the time I don’t have the patience to cut that up so I just put the whipped cream in a little cup and eat it with a spoon. 😄
Loved seeing your family use a butter bell We have used these for over a century in our family. What I married my husband had never seen one and was stunned at how effective they are.
I’m in north east Ohio and I have my fireplace on it is currently 32°. I made my bone broth and put it in the refrigerator as you said to do.. I’m gonna make me some bean soup with it.. and of course some homemade cornbread.
So glad, Dolores! I'm also so glad to have these sweet moments on video because she's just going to get big and then I'll miss hearing her sweet baby voice. :)
Samuel and Sarah were/are taking college level courses in high school, so I think they are getting plenty of school time. Samuel also scored extremely high on his SATs and I am sure Sarah will too!

Good use of the leftovers little one I like that will salads. They all seem not mind eating leftovers.. Have a good day .
I think the leftovers taste better when being in the fridge a few days.

Use your kitchen aid mixer to make butter
Hi Suzanne! We do sometimes, but Sarah has been on a "do it by hand" kick lately! :)

When do the kids work on their homeschool books/projects?
We actually showed that we were schooling around mealtimes in the video!
@lavender homeschool kids only take a few hours to do the work as opposed to public school only a few hours and accomplish more
Samuel and Sarah were/are taking college level courses in high school, so I think they are getting plenty of school time. Samuel also scored extremely high on his SATs and I am sure Sarah will too!
Wow, didn't know they were that far along!
Yes, found that out when we homeschooled my grandson for 3 years. He was way behind in math and English. @@suzanneford1571
