Let my buddy shoot my AXG Pro with Lok grips on a Monday. He had his ordered on Tuesday. With 150gr syntech the dot never leaves the window.
Also, if you are going to wear the long socks with shorts you gotta go 7” inseam maximum my man! That is 80’s dad lawn mowing standard attire.
I was going to wear 5.5” but they didn’t have belt loops - this match would DQ you for that so I buckled. I have 5.5 WITH belt loops on order

It’s wild to see how much faster that Bul open gun makes you over a normal carry optics type. Good match though! Finally got on the magical Bul “list” to be able to order one in the future.
It’s the scoring model - each Charlie is worth 1 second. I would be much faster in a USPSA context

Track and Field with a gun. Nicely done. Now, if they could come up with a way to measure speed and accuracy with a gun, without also measuring one's athletic movement ability, it might level the playing field for those of us who are older and less athletic.
That's Steel Challenge - it's mostly entirely static shooting.

Eh - it helps you target focus but at a certain point there isn’t a benefit. I still do it sometimes when shooting into the rising / setting sun to prevent ghost dots

I love it just as much as I did before the match - with the magwell on it becomes stupid easy to reload fast. Still one of my fav production guns

For guns and holsters - P320 AXG pro with LOX Veloce and Romeo 1 pro - holster I think was a comptac mag pouches ghost 360 with tape over the outside cut out

Socks are high because it looks awkward AND it’s super dusty - getting sunscreen on the lower calf/ ankle isn’t great

a fine shooter
AXG is similar to that but with the aluminum grip module and Magwell. In tomorrows video you’ll see a 320 configuration I’m a big fan of - basically an M17 with a Magwell.

What would you recommend for a gun that could compete in IPSC and IDPA, preferably optics ready? I need to get this right, because, as a Canadian, it will be the last handgun I can ever buy in my life, sigh. Unless the Conservatives get in power in several years and overturn Trudeau mania. I will gave to import it from the USA. Today, most handguns are now sold out in Canada. Strange times!
The 92x defensive, Canik rival, Sig 320 legion are all good choices
Your shooting was much slower and more deliberate than a USPSA stage. The scoring system does not allow for “send and go” type of shooting in IPDA.
not at all. It's two fold - the scoring is punitive - but also I don't shoot slide ride guns like the P320 enough to have automaticity - my index is optimized for my open guns - so I'm not as confident shooting as I would be were it the open gun even with the IDPA scoring model.
You should have been DQ'd for those reloads with the muzzle over the berm. We all saw it, its right in the video!
That’s not an IDPA rule - that’s a bullshit gun club rule. If that were a rule I would follow it. Thankfully it’s not. They use a more sane approach of DQing for finger in the guard during gun handling
