It was in respect to the first assassin, and the dagger at their underarm. It would cut off the finger regardless, so they made it an initiation ceremony. Later they figured out they could move the blade away and avoid the whole process, iirc
Why women in this game have bad names? “Qabiha” means ugly woman., “Makira” means a deceitful woman. As an Arab person, I tell you that Arabs do not give these bad names to their daughters.
I dont understand the ending. Who was the Jinni? Why was she (Nehal) trapped in that cell? Or was basim espirit (IDK) trapped? Was he imagining her? Nobody noticed him talking to himself when he was talking to her? What is the correlation between his past and the amulet? When he mentioned nehal, no one wondered who was he talking about???
I was wondering the same. The original story was already confusing but still manageable to somewhat understand, but these new games are confusing to the point that I feel like it's a waste of time.
Nehal in Arabic is "the source of life", so you can consider the ending of this game as Basim's spiritual awakening/realisation of how reality works as a seeker of truth and knowledge. As for your other questions, it's a lot of esoteric truths thrown at you rather quickly, and in a manner that uses the Isu design of the AC series; with Nehal in the cell, the talking to her = himself etc. Think of it as the game planting spiritual seeds on a AC themed canvas using Nehal (being the literal embodiment of knowledge seeking) as the paint - so that you the viewer/player can ask your own questions and find your own path of enlightenment.
