Part of me believes that the moment Arte Moreno heard that Tyler Skaggs had died off of the painkillers he was supplying to his team, he briefly had a smile upon realizing he no longer needed to worry about paying an injury-ridden pitcher that never recovered from Tommy John surgery, then frowned not because of that despicable thought, but because he realized he had a PR nightmare on his hands. There’s a reason why Skaggs’ family is still caught in legal battles with the Angels to this day.

I don’t see why Harvey should be thrown in jail for Tyler Skaggs. Does he need help? Yes of course, is it sad he died? Yes but Skaggs was an addict before he met Harvey, he’s a grown ass man and knew the consequences of his addiction. Harvey didn’t forcefully give Tyler drugs, Skaggs played a stupid game and unfortunately lost. That’s like suing Tesla when your vehicle crashes because you put it in autopilot and fell asleep at the wheel. It’s your fault for not maintaining control of the vehicle and paying attention to the road. Don’t blame others for something you willingly chose to do. Some lessons unfortunately need to be learned the hard way.

@@MrRyan-wu4jx That was my point to begin with, an addict will look for the cracks to squeeze through brother. If you are falling out of a plane where are you finding the parachute bro? There's no store to stop at, aside from the whole gravity thing. Instead of saying get help.... You say get help and this is how, this is the person who you need to talk to there, this is the phone number, we can call now. You tell an addict to get help and he says that he will, or some other BS. When the reality of it is that they have no clue what they should do, and real bad addicts know that they can't stop themselves until an outside force intervenes. Hence the original stay in the lane statement which was kinda snarky. The get help statement is a nails on the chalkboard type deal for me, it's an expedient thing to say but if you know someone who is an addict and you care enough to help I would suggest trying a more 3rd grade approach to helping with steps to do, and if you are not in the type of relationship with that person to do some work to help then I would sever the relationship until they are clean. It's not nit picking brother, it's just not a simple answer, and the cost of the wrong answer is death or prison.
