Good question. NavMesh is designed to work with 3d colliders, so isn't a good fit when making a 2d game. Also we were going for more aimless wandering in this game rather than the most efficient route.
Hi, I was wondering how you got that ”Display Box” when writing code in visual studio. Like for example at 5:19 when yo’re writing code it pops up a little box that tells you information about the setlayermask. Is there anything that you gotta download? And if so please could you please tell me how to download it?
I've looked up A* and Dijkstra so many times, but my brain cannot wrap itself around either of those, even during AI and Data Structures courses in college. could you do a vid on a* in unity sometime? like not necessarily the navmesh agent, but a* in c# using unity?
i thought this was going to be yet another nav mesh agent tutorial, but i was pleasantly surprised! :D
👍😊
I love this channel and this video is informative but that's literally what navmesh was made for, why not use it?

@@KetraGames i'm tired of the same patrol, move towards, attack, ai anyway. cool to see different types of ai for once!
Can't wait for the next part. Keep up the amazing work 👏👏
Thanks very much for this comment 😊
is this method also could be use for 3D scene?
That's so cool I have been wanting to learn this

Don’t worry about it I fixed it 😃

Thanks for the suggestion. It is a trick topic. We'll add it to the list of potential future tutorials 😊
Can this be used for an enemy that try to evade the player? so that it does not get boxed in if there's a wall or a corner behind?
Hi, yes it should be able to be adapted to evade the player as well as other enemies 😊
Nice 🙂
Thanks 😊
when's the new video?
Hi, sorry for the long gap between releases. The new video should be out in the next few days though 😊
I LOVE YOU
😊❤️
