Filming tip - turn off autofocus. It will start hunting in the dark. While blurring the effects is not always bad, it better be under your own control. Auto white balance probably won't work right too, I usually set/fix it to Daylight.
Cops stole the last of my fireworks but it was only like 6 shells and a couple of legal fountains actually. Sergeant on duty pulled me and my dad by our shirts.

Beautiful! An amazing show! We are blessed to have a neighbor of my brother that sets of in heck of a firework show every 4th of July. We sit out on my brother’s property and watch them after a day full of food, drinks, games, setting off fireworks of our own. They live in the country by a lake so it’s always beautiful. It’s also where my husband and I got married.
I spent 1k in fireworks and rocked the whole block. Honestly i love doing them to bring out all the neighbors. We all had fun! And i even had someone come from 5 miles away to watch an older gentleman telling me about his younger days doing them! Best 4th of july i ever had. But this guy he puts me to shame lol. When I first started watching this I thought it was going to be another amateur showing. Where I live the fire department spends well over $150,000 on the show they put on and it draws in close to 12,000 people not counting those that stay at their homes across the town to watch it. This is a small town of 7-8,000 people and it takes 2 1/2 hours after the end to clear the traffic. they even put on a better show than bigger cities. You sir put on one very impressive show and the order of the units made it worth watching to the end. Hat tip to you. It takes a lot to impress me with a fireworks show and you got my attention. Video does it no justice.
Uhhh, I tried to, but our “fireworks” paled in comparison to those of the people across from us. Last year, we really stood a chance, and things were getting pretty intense, but this year, our budget couldn’t fit the cost of fireworks. I live in central IL, so there are no actual firework stores near us at all without having to take a long drive. We pretty much only had bang snaps or whatever you call them this year. The shame was to the point that our next-door neighbors started laughing at us. Yikes.

I'd have to say between 8 houses there was about $20-25K that went up... it was non-stop for almost 3 hours. My ass is totally kicked from all of the running back-and-forth, but it was awesome. Everyone who wasn't lighting off was out in their yards with their fire pits going watching the show. All I know is I can't wait for 2026... 'Merica's 250th!! Already starting to set aside $$ for that one, including a Cobra... my old ass is wanting to start sitting back and watching the show instead of sweating all night.
This is literally just like my buddy's set up. Huge shop pool table. Tables full of just kids fireworks. We started the show this year with a 48k roll of mobster firecrackers. Bout 150 mortars and about 25 cakes. But we do it on a farm. Not as cool as a lake. Hope you guys had fun!!!

I feel this so bad. I grew up in NZ and I've never seen firework packages like this. We would just get a pathetic $20 of firecrackers. Everything good was banned even back in the 1980's. The kids crackers are all you can get for Guy Fawkes No yard to launch anything now I live in Los Angeles.

Learn from your errors for next year! I used bricks and duck tape for cakes and made a 10 tube rack for all my shells this year. Last year, my first year firing I had a 16 shot cake flip and scared the hell out of me and the few friends around. Shot for a party of 40 this year and 12 kids, couldnt risk a tip over with that kind of liability. This year went 100% right and safe.

I loved the Fourth of July! How though we got yelled at by the rudest person. He literally comes out saying nothing at first recording us. I just feel bad that people are risking their lives for people like them to be in this country. It’s just funny that neighbors were standing up for us and the person made it way more serious then it needed to be. He literally was cutting through neighbors yards and threatening everyone that he had them on video. We literally tried going to his door to apologize and he didn’t answer😂
If you had spaced them a bit apart during the finale, or just angled in a few different directions - it would've been easier to see - there was too much reflection off the smoke clouds... I still enjoyed the show, wish I had money to blow up and a warehouse like that!
I did something similar last night just for me and my son and my mom, and was floored at the random collection of neighbors I got watching my show and asking for me to come do their show next year! I had no idea there were so many other nuts like myself out there - great show!!

Learn from your errors for next year! I used bricks and duck tape for cakes and made a 10 tube rack for all my shells this year. Last year, my first year firing I had a 16 shot cake flip and scared the hell out of me and the few friends around. Shot for a party of 40 this year and 12 kids, couldnt risk a tip over with that kind of liability. This year went 100% right and safe.

I loved the Fourth of July! How though we got yelled at by the rudest person. He literally comes out saying nothing at first recording us. I just feel bad that people are risking their lives for people like them to be in this country. It’s just funny that neighbors were standing up for us and the person made it way more serious then it needed to be. He literally was cutting through neighbors yards and threatening everyone that he had them on video. We literally tried going to his door to apologize and he didn’t answer😂

If you had spaced them a bit apart during the finale, or just angled in a few different directions - it would've been easier to see - there was too much reflection off the smoke clouds... I still enjoyed the show, wish I had money to blow up and a warehouse like that!
