I knew immediately what came off on the Roush. My front lip on mine ripped of just like that one. I was doing a pull and decided to stretch its legs out in 5th gear and boom, same exact thing. The front bumper isn't able to support the down force the lip generates at high speed. It's actually the lip ripping through the plastic on the bumper and not the fasteners on the lip failing.
I still can’t get over how good that Roush sounds. Definitely one of the best sounding cars to ever be on the channel.

Saleen must’ve been really heat soaked to only make 260whp. They normally make around 280-290whp. This is why you need to get a better Intercooler or the Intercooler heatshield under that blower, along with the MoSaleen Grip Plate to stop the belt slip, then it’ll make in the low 300-310s like the car is supposed to. Please don’t ditch the Saleen blower on this car. Just a few upgrades go such a long way and make this supercharger setup actually great. I’m about to be the mid 400whp range with the same Saleen Series 2 Blower on my 99 Saleen.
To make in the 400s on the Saleen blower, you’ll need these things:
-21st Century Intercooler or TrikPony Intercooler Heatshield
-66mm Blower pulley
-75mm throttle body
-Upgraded Heat Exchanger with Fans (stock one is tiny)
-39# Cobra injectors if staying on 93, or LU47s if you want to go E85
-340LPH Fuel pump for 93 or Hellcat 525 for E85
On 93 you should make around 370-380whp with that setup. On E85 you can stretch it to about 400, but those stock rods won’t handle much more than 450whp long term. Also the stock inlet elbow for the blower is highly restrictive. If you port the blower along with those other mods I listed, it should make around 420whp on that stock inlet elbow and a 75mm throttle body with E85.
20-30hp is well within dyno margin of error.
@@davidshaw164 seems like a real high margin of error to me. 10-15 sounds more likely

The Saleen was heat soaked. Also needs belt slip fixed. There are several modifications to help both. The other guy explained very well

Make sure the Saleen is getting full throttle, I had a few that were not and had to bend the throttle pedal a little

Because that blower was most likely extremely heat soaked because it doesn’t have any of the factory defects with the kit fixed. 2 simple mods with get the car to make the power it was advertised to make.
While they make the same HP the tq curve is very different. Also forget how much of a driver mod Gavin is on a stick car when he's on it he's on it.

My car was tuned on a mainline hub dyno. Made close to 500 on it also. I tried to race hank about a year ago, but hank didn't show.

The 4.6 engines from the 99-04 Mustangs are still amongst the top domestic engine sounds on production cars. Even better if it's the 4v version from the 03-04 Cobras.

Exactly what i was thinking and Daniel has a manual so it should read higher I was figuring 660 or 670 on 7 pounds or so....but he might have a g2 unit 🤔 idk

I have the G3X and I have a rev limiter at 7800. The highest it was revved on the dyno was 7400. But I’m just happy to see how much room we have for more power!

Something’s broke on that Saleen.. it was rated at 425 crank from saleen or 390 if just a termi “saleen clone” so 260 seems pretty weak especially on a hub Dyno
375 depending on year to the crank, the Extreme was the one in the 400’s
They were rated at 350hp/410tq with the Series 1 and 2 Eaton M90 blowers and then 365hp/415tq with the Series 4 1.6 Whipple blower that came in 2003/04. The extremes made 425hp with a 2.3L Whipple and built bottom end. The reason they don’t make good power or even the power they advertise at the wheel with power train loss considered is because of a defect in the lower manifold design that allows air to pass the Intercooler without it being cooled. The fix is a heatshield a guy in the community makes or an upgraded intercooler
Finally some people who know how to do rolling pulls. Them some good pulls, but I do think that roush gets the overall win. What stage is that roush? Don't member if yall said in the video
