As far as paid fonts go I would love to see some sort of video compilation on that topic. What would be the best/safe ones to invest in that would be versatile and could be used in many design projects. Maybe show them off in Budget / Midrange / High end (pricey) categories so anyone could pick something for themselves? Best places to buy them from and some alternatives to free google fonts site would also be nice to include. Just a thought...

Notes for myself from this video:
    Trends in Motion Design:
Increasing use of motion design to engage users and keep their attention
Parallax effect popular for adding depth and realism to digital experiences
Complex, detailed animations using libraries such as GSAP
    Design Style:
Minimal design is timeless and classic
Gradients (especially mesh gradients, abstract gradient forms and shapes) remain popular for adding color and vibrancy
High contrast monochrome designs with strong contrast can be effective in keeping users engaged
    Other Trends:
Dark UI has evolved from a simple black and white color scheme to a more complex, cosmic look
Increased use of 3D design and augmented reality (AR) in both web and mobile design
Hand-drawn and organic elements adding a human touch to digital design
Increased use of asymmetry and broken grid layouts for a more dynamic and unique look
More focus on user experience (UX) and usability in design, rather than just aesthetics.

hey, absolutely fantastic video! I just have one suggestion, try looking more into sound design, i feel like your videos and edited perfectly visually, but the lack of good sound design is really contrasting to the quality of the rest of the video. while most of your types of SFX are great I really notice that some are just way too harsh audio wise, and the consistency of harshness is also not that great, also the music tends to switch alot, which is not particularly a bad thing, but I feel like your style of video doesn't really match with the music that well, and most of the time it's just too quiet, bt like I said at the beginning not a bad video at all, really interesting.
I know I'm in no place to say this ahahah I'm just trying to help you make your content even better :)

Another footnote is that it's getting harder and harder to get into UI design because it requires learning more and more skills? Is this a precedent to not try and enter the industry anymore because it's getting saturated? Or is it the opposite - more skills involved means more people working on designs than ever and as such a higher specialization for each? That would imply a stagnation of freelancing however.

    I have a question:
    when is it too much?
I mean, ok attention retention and all...but really, attention is a resource that I own and these trends are littering on it. This video too to some extent, but I appreciate it anyway. I appreciate better interfaces that a. are simple and b. are authentic without sticking to a trend. It's hard, but it's the way I like it as a user.

    • @MalewiczHype
      @MalewiczHype  ปีที่แล้ว

The users decide when it's too much.
I really like minimal, clean and functional interfaces but at the same time if people didn't explore new (sometimes weird/crazy) trends we would end up in a boring, homogenous, dystopian world of one typeface ;)

@@MalewiczHype wo wo wo...hold your horses, with all the due respect I think you didn't think through this answer.
According to what you propose, the designer is ditching completely her responsability, saying "they asked for it, that's not my fault" that actually is an easy and smart way to manage clients objections with off-the-shelf solutions that are in demand...but how can one be considered a professional if doesn't own his own decisions?
As designer shall we be acritical? shall we be passive actors and just enact what a trend is pushing? No. That would be such a sad perspective, and then we should not wain when we are being treated by clients as mere pixel-pushers because that's what we are asking for with this attitude: best case we are perceived as useful idiot that makes things pretty, hardly make you a respected professional. In all due honesty, bitches have more agency.
Good luck not being replaced by cheaper competition or AI 😆
I think it's not the user deciding when it is too much. They eat what you put in their plate, and to stay in the metaphor this feels like a perfect recipe for obesity (aka attention deficits, shinigh objects sindrome-like behaviors and similar issues). Designers community is, to some extent, who decide "the diet" for the users. Cheap junk food? Why not once in a while? But remember to eat/offer a whole lot of vegetables first👵
      I know, it's a long and pedantic post 🤷‍♀️
but hey, there's something bigger beyond what makes us easely liked, and is the effect at scale of widespread patterns.
I'd be glad to continue discussing further with whoever, here or somewhere else 😉😁
