When I was 10 years old after my grandparents passed away I had inherited a wind-up phonograph with steel needles and 78's and among the 78's were the decca re-release of Al Jolson songs and so I got acquainted with the 1945 to 1950 versions of and then later on in life I discovered the Brunswick years and he lives in my heart. In 2011 I discovered archives on the internet. The Kraft hour and the earliest radio broadcast. The Shell Chateau. Just this year I discovered Clive Baldwin who was 46 years old in 1990 sounds EXACTLY like Al. Unfortunately has passed away.....

I had no idea he ever sung this. Great version!
He sang some lovely songs on his Kraft Music Hall radio show that weren’t associated with him.
