Steve Morse seems like such a nice guy. Very humble and polite despite playing for decades in one of the biggest rock bands of all time.

    Just received mine. Praise, God.
The clean is great and dynamic.
The 2 gain channels are say, not as expressive as a full up Plexi, but geat for preamp gain.
The good newsvis when you sustain a note, the decays into an 'ee' volume

I was so enlightened to come across this clip! Steve's awesome and I must say Kristof became my favourite interviewer at NAMM. He seems so warm and gracious plus he lets the stars do the talking rather than the other way around like so many others. I love Deep Purple with Steve! The last two albums were amazing! He is definitely a special breed of player and person! Congratulations on the ENGL! Boy, coupled with that guitar and Steve's magical touch, does it ever sound sweet!

I bought this amp last month but when I was researching, it was damn near impossible to find a newer thorough review of it.
Good thing I used to own a Fireball 100 so I know that their build quality is top notch and the amp turned out to be a beast.

Gracious guy, Steve. One could tell he's 'tapped' at times but still musters a great answer to a question.

Steve Morse is truly a unique talent... nice dude too. I'm worried about that right hand though.

I remember Steve saying once in an interview that because he's been playing for something like 50 years he now suffers from a bit arthritis and repetitive Strain injury thats why he has his playing hand is covered up.

TheTRUTH - He has Carpal Tunnel. Luckily though he has absolutely nailed the new technique he was forced to learn. He’ll be ok but yeah you can tell he’s in a bit of pain when he plays

Jesse McDonald that's the a very bad thing . I had that on my both hand After a minut play the numbness and tickling and the pain horrible. Luckily the symptoms are passrd away after( put fingers crossed) the injections..

Great to see how excited he is about the product. He was holding back not to give thorough explanation about the amp and his settings, and he tried so hard not to be talking all day long. Gotta love him.

I like the colour of Steve's new signature guitar. I also noticed that it doesnt have a single coil like his Y2D. Anyone know about availability and prices for this guitar? Finally did anyone notice that behind the guy talking to Steve was the Ritchie Blackmore signature head? Wonder if anyone pointed that out to Steve or the interviewer off camera lol.

I love SM but I don't like any other color on guitar but black or metallic red. Blue is too cold. But there's a reason why guitars have many different paint jobs on them. They're the ultimate expressive extension of their owners.

Steve was having to give an unprepared live demo, explaining the amp.
Have you ever done anything live, and its not some rote memorized performance, but rather its off the cuff?
So, sure, it was not a glossy perfected edited situation where he's reading something he has memorized and practiced.
      He did just fine.

Steve has always been, and he admits it, a little slow. He is not an academic. He has to think before he speaks. He's always been this way, it's not the drugs and alcohol like some rock stars. Maybe that is why he gravitated towards guitar and was so good on it. It was something he was good at compared to general social life that he wasn't so good at. Kind of like the whimpy nerdy school kid learning martial arts and taking on the bully.
