I'd say the apple represents knowledge, like in the biblical story. Coming into procession of the Death Note grants the protagonist knowledge and abilities that normally only death gods pocess.
It also represents sin, and after watching the anime itself, watching Light take a bite from the apple and seeing that apple transform into the Death Note at the end of the first opening gave me chills!
@kk nn Protagonist means main character, while the antagonist is the one who directly opposes the protagonist (main character). While typically a Protagonist is synonymous with a good guy and the antagonist tends to be a villain; this doesn't always have to be the case. I wouldn't say that I'm straight up disagreeing or agreeing with you though. I think that both Light (the Protagonist), and L (the antagonist) are morally grey characters, and they both have things that I agree with as well as disagree with morally.
what movie? the only ones i know of were made in japan as a trilogy we did not make a movie that was complete garbage and completely disrespectful to the entire series. lmfao

its been 1 year I didn't even recovered from this anime its the legendary anime I ever seen
I've seen it over 10 years ago and it's the best I've ever seen, not even close imo
