I have been using the grafix craft plastic for a year or so. It even comes in a black version for use with neon colors and shimmery colors. Huge fan of this product. Thanks for posting 😁

I have used the craft plastic but my favorite is mineral paper, it's made out of rock! It's a bit thinner but is easy to die cut and can be heat embossed with no warping, plus it feels velvety.

Thank you for this tip. I use Kirkland photo paper. So much less expensive than Yupo.
I see you were using Alcohol Blending Solution to remove the ink. If you use Isopropyl Alcohol it would probably clear it in one try. Plus it much less expensive than blending solution.

Hello Tiffany, I watched quite a few of your videos and now I have a question. It’s regarding the hair dryer, well it’s actually a curling combo. I recognize the one you use it’s the Conair. I used that myself first and I liked it because it didn’t blow very hard, but even on the cool setting it still blows warm, and I didn’t like that because it dried the alcohol too fast. Then I started using a different one, I saw many other people using it, the Revlon curling/brush combo. This is a little stronger (500 watts, the Conair is 300 watts) so it blows harder, not very much, but same as the Conair this one also blows warm air even on the cool setting. Maybe less than the Conair, but still warmer than room temperature, more than just warmish. I’m still using the Revlon, but don’t like the warm because it dries the alcohol too fast, especially I live in Florida,so here mostly it’s hot and humid, although of course I use the A/C. But no matter how much I looked I can’t find a better one. So, I wanted to ask you, how you deal with that? It doesn’t bother you that it’s warm air? The paper, yes I am using the Grafix Opaque now for a long time, but there is another very good paper, NARA, I like it even better. When it first came out on Amazon about 2 years ago it was very cheap, now it’s more expensive, but still cheaper than Yupo, and the ink lifts even better than on the Grafix. Tiffany I enjoy your videos, let me know how you deal with the dryer. Thank you 😊

I've tried a few other mediums but I'm always disappointed with the colors that have kind of a "dual color" to them...like when the alcohol lightens them. (kind of hard to explain) So far Yupo is the only paper those work best on. But I HATE how expensive it is. It makes trying to practice on even a small piece so nerve-wracking.
Do you know what im talking about with the colors that are kind of multi-dimensional, that work really well on Yupo? Do they work the same on this paper?

Love Graphix Craft Plastic! I've been using and demoing with it for three or more years now. It is my favorite substrate for alcohol ink. It is definitely a lot less expensive and so great to work with. If you don't use high heat, you can basically heat this plastic all day and it won't warp. I did a heat comparison at one of the stamping shows I where I was demoing alcohol inks and added the same amount of lower heat (but still high enough for embossing) to a piece of Yupo along side a piece of the Graphix Craft Plastic on and off all day and by the end of the day the Graphix was still flat and the Yupo was warped into a ball.
