Mahidervan never had the title of sultana or haseki!! She was called hatun, like all of the other slaves!! She lived and died as nothing more than a concubine and slave!!! She unfortunately imprinted on Mustafa that same arrogant, snobbish, stubborn streak that she had, which caused her ro lose Suleyman because of her jealousy and vindictive nature!!

He died because of Madhidervan. She keep calling him the crown prince and advised him to act like the heir. She always got him to push it. Suliaman who was his father only son was advused by his mother very well. She told to act subsuveant to his father and act as if he had no intrerst in being Sultan. This saved his life several times when others died. This is why Selim became Sultan. He listen to his father and keep his mouth shut.

Based on reak life, Selim was still a drunk, unworthy of the throne, but preffered by muppet Suleyman cause he was Hurrem's son and too weak to ever be a threat. Suleyman consolidated himself, but didn't give af about the empire and what's gonna happen after him.

No I don't think so. Süleyman just considered him as a rival and rivals had to be eliminated. I am also quite sure that Hurrem had a hand in his downfall because she wanted to see one of her sons at top

Mustafa was 42 in the moment of his execution, so it's quite obvious he wanted to have some authority, as the oldest heir of the throne. Suleyman broke a lot of the rulea himself- and this served as an "example" for his sons. I doubt he constantly went against Suleyman's word- if he constantly broke the rules- it pretty much showed that Suleyman let him, without consequences- case in which- why are you surprised he'll keep on breaking them? Sounds counterproductive and ridiciulous, hence why I think it's a lie. Also- I don't think he disrespected pashas abd preffered the janissaries over the pashas. The janissaries were important indeed, but the pashas were even more so. What I do think it's true, however, is the reseamblance with Mahidevran- that S. didn't like. This, combined with the fact that everyone seemed to preffer him over any Hurrem's son seem to be the real reasob why he ended up being disliked by S.
