I'd love to take the Charge 5 to a friend's house and connect to their WiFi for WiFi streaming features (Spotify Connect, Chromecast, AirPlay) but I can't seem to find a way to temporarily switch to a different WiFi network. Is it possible without having to factory reset?
You can't you can only pair the JBL charge 5 wifi speaker only for the wifi speakers, you can't have it connect to the other speakers that has connect + and or partyboost
When will the Charge 5 WiFi have PartyBoost or some other feature to allow for connection of multiple Charge 5 WiFi’s in the great outdoors without using WiFi?
I just got off the phone with JBL specialists, they have JBL Auracast releasing hopefully 1st quarter 2024 (it's already in testing) which will allow through the JBL One app the connection of multiple wifi edition JBL speakers via bluetooth when there is no base wifi connection.

While our JBL Charge 5 Wi-Fi doesn't support the PartyBoost feature, it will receive a post-release firmware update enabling it to pair with multiple JBL Charge 5 Wi-Fi speakers using Bluetooth. In the meantime, we don't have any information about its release, but it will be prompted on future firmware updates.
I need help. My speaker wont connect to the wifi 80% of the time. And when it does connect, the firmware update takes longer than 20 seconds, doesn't fully finish updating, then when I leave the app, the firmware update starts again and does the same thing.

We're expecting to have a new update released via OTA sometime next week. When the update is released, you will need to update your unit and this should fix the issue. People buy this speakers for sound quality, not for any side functions. And the price is affortable. Instead of having some kind of devise with many useless functions, but mediocre sound. The most epic fail in our world is subscription to some functions in your own car, as Tesla makes. Basically, you the right to use it, but you still don't own it.
They make the same speaker without WIFI. It's more affordable. If they were going to invest in adding WIFI, you would think that they would add the assistant so it can actually compete with the other speakers in the class.@@MorsAtricolorEst

Why do i have to press the Bluetooth button every time i turn the speaker on? It should automatically connect. Very disappointed

Ir means the speaker can connect trough wifi instead of Bluetooth so u can have greater Range don't know any other advantage
