Where specifically ate you fishing there mate? I live Amsterdam an that looks like hoofddorp by like bornholm am overbos. Only just managed to get my fishing gear over haha
I cannot remember where it was tbh dude I'd have to watch the video maybe I could remember but gotta run right now so don't have time to check it sorry, where did you move to Amsterdam from?
Ohh nice man . How do you like it? I absolutely love the valkerie but don't have much need for it in vietnam at the moment there isn't really and need for bigger baits atleast where I am that I have found yet
@@NetfishnChill I haven’t been able to take it out yet, but it definitely seems like a nice rod. I was going to go with the 78H but decided on the 65MH because I mostly fish Smallmouth and Largemouth. It’s definitely more stout than my other rods by a fairly large margin at up to 70g when I think my other MHs are in the 20g range(3/4oz). It’s a MUCH lighter rod than I expected for having fiberglass in it. I’m tempted to grab the ML one or maybe the Triza.
@HippieMagic ahh OK, yeh the 78H is much more suitable for larger moving baits even though they mention it can be used for carolina it's a bit to long and heavy for that style of fishing atleast for me . Is the 65mh a regular or medium fast action? Yeh the cast weights on them is pretty crazy as there part fibre glass but flex enough for the lighter stuff I have no problem with half oz chatterbaits on the 78h, also love the trizas allot that's why I ended up with 6 of them 😅
@@NetfishnChill it is a medium fast. 6’5” Medium Fast, Max 70g, 30lbs/5.0 PE line, 154g weight, and 80/20 carbon/glass. I am tempted to grab a Triza or Zodias and a Bone Voyage BFS. The zodias seems like a nice option for a more compact package. The Bone Voyage rods seem decent as well. I have a trip coming up in May and would like to try and cover my bases with a L/ML, M, and MH options. This Valkyrie will fill the last role. I’ll probably put my curado DC on it. As for the L/ML that might get a BFS with the M getting a spinning reel.
@HippieMagic oh nice should be a pretty versatile rod then , triza are definitely a nicer looking and better rod components than the zodias for sure . I actually just got a 5 piece zodias a couple days ago for upcoming trip, the 610M tried it today on some snakehead and pretty happy with it, but I do prefer the trizas for sure, as for the L/ML maybe look at the triza sparna as it's 3.5-14g , super nice rod with a bfs reel I love this model also very versatile rod
Hey thanks man .the rod is good up yo 120g , I have casted 130 and a friend even more but at 120 I wouldn't be casting much more and it can cast 10-15g also because it's 30 percent fibreglass so has some flex to sling the lures but also lots of strength. Amazing rod I love it . Its the 7.8 H
Just curious, how big are the lures you want to cast? 100G is a pretty big lure. I guess it depends on where you live and what waters you fish. In the NL, a 100G lure is big.
In Ireland I did a fair bit of fly fishing for trout, and also salmon depending on the weather, never even thought of doing it for pike for some reason. Nice vid as usual bro
Ah yeh man a pike on a fly would be awesome fun 😀 unfortunately my arm and wrist couldn't handle more than a few casts 🤣 thanks for watching man appreciate it 🙏
