*08:10** - it's a INPUT\sampling to the "unit" gain. You can clip the input for creative purposes. Chop thin transients that eatin' your headroom (pretty regular case for some acoustic guitar samples if you look at waveform), or have "compression like effect" by adding harmonics when distort the input. This stage is modeled pretty well actually. But i personally hear how it eat transient speed (how snappy and fast it pop in the speaker) on the snare drums. Can sounds good on kick drums. Almost never on bass samples (at least for boombap!)*
*06:20** - 10 sec it not your biggest "problem". Major limitation is you cannot sample anything longer than 2.5 sec to on pad. Memory comes with slots 2.5 * 4 = 10 sec in the E-Mu Systems SP1200. SP limit will teach you be more selective and creative to "pack" your musical idea inside this 2.5 * 4 = 10 sec and only 8 midi voice groups (you cannot layer two snares on same audio output!)*
*24:00** - No it's not. It is a modeled Decay envelope of the real unit. It simple but pretty unique. And it became a little bit glitchy SAME as real OG SP1200 unit if you try to decay way down low-end heavy sounds, like kick drums, toms or basselines. I hope i can clear some things over here!*
*It's a VSTi not a sequencer. Set Velocity knob (right down corner) and use velocity levels on your MIDI controller or change it in the Piano\Midi Roll in your DAW.*
Honestly, I’d like to see an A/B between the SP and this plugin. There are too many SP owners claiming completely opposite things about the sound…so who do I believe? It sounds kinda good regardless.

I love this vst! Once it can drag and drop....this thing will be unstoppable.

Is there a way to achieve the Akai MPC “16 level” function on this?

Nice, but the plug in’s sound does not compare to the hardware! Saves money though.
More bugs than an ant hill
This has to be a joke right?
in what way??
@@scottmacey That it sounds like an SP1200.

@@rainmixing You enjoy it.
Can I just process a loop and export it to chop up in serato?
