When I have told people that I spent almost $500 on my 1/2 Metal Square they think I am out of my mind because they think it is a $75 watch. Nobody but us cares about an STN display nor will they understand what Cobarion is. But after watching your video I want one 😊
Great review! I got mine this week. So hard to really capture what this watch is in photo and video, in person, this finish is next level, so much depth to it. You did an incredible job with the Macro! The straps are so comfortable, amazingly so with how thick it is, yet somehow doesn't feel stiff at all. Go on Chavo, cut the straps, peel the stickers, and truly experience it! 😉
I have owned the black full titanium for two years now, totally a stealth wealth feeling watch. But it pops so hard in restaurants and bars with good lighting. Wear it weekly and still looks new. It feels iconic and a great tribute to the best 80's Gshock. I love rubber straps, but it does not look like it belongs here. Really missing the gold MRG, clasp lock, and case back. It feels the downgrades should lower the price bit less than 3100$.

I'm a gshock owner/collector/fanatic!😂. However, I've always felt that these MRGs are way overpriced. Im not saying that it's not well built with premium materials, but there's no way in hail😂 I'd pay this price.
Sorry but now they are crossing the line: the g-shock was supposed to be a rugged, reliable, affordable watch. That was the concept. They keep changing materials and nothing of substance (functions, capabilities) and an $300 watch aesthetic. Buy yourself a GW-B5600. Replacement part are cheap and available if your bezel of strap is really abused. Mine is pristine, after 4 years it seems near new.
99% of g-shocks produced are the affordable and durable ones. The existence of the super high end ones doesn't mean Casio has lost touch with the original design.
i dont like that you have to cut the band to fit it, also, its just a matter of time before it degrades, esp if exposed to uv light.. then youre out a few hundred more for a replacement band
Lovely watch but same old dw5200/5600 shape. Bet you if i wore this or a dw5600E...No one would even notice unless you were a g shock fan. Trust me, nobody really cares.....its just a watch.
But it for yourself not others. You are correct … no one cares. The beauty of this piece is that you know. When traveling abroad, it’s the perfect piece, since no one will rob you.

8$ module in 3k watch, Casio is slowly creeping in term of price to Seiko MM 300 which is undisputed King of all tool diving watches.
This is the best Mrg square, that other mrg squares are nice but bracelet would get too many fingerprints.

The first MRG model from the mid 1990s had a rubber band and bezel. Look up Casio MR-G 1
