    Yes, this video is 100% accurate!
    A detailed description of my experience, Evanston Wyoming is by far the most affordable place I have lived. Cheap groceries as seen in the video, no state tax, and low sales tax for your non grocery merch. In addition, for renters, you can rent up to 3 story properties for under $1000 instead of +4,000. Not to mention you can save a tremendous amount of money on energy bills during the summer as A/C isn't necessary with a cool nighttime breeze of 50°off the surrounding mountains; cool nighttime air can potentially be trapped indoors in well insulated structures for ideal temperatures throughout most of the daytime. Last but not least, homeowner's insurances are actually relatively cheap in western Wyoming as significant weather events are not prevalent, maybe roof damages if left neglected during Hursh winters where snow accumulations are more rampant, those conditions maybe happen once or twice in a decade. Also, low humidity, prompting dryness, preventing mold growth indoors which means undisturbed properties can stay well preserved for many years, which is an advantage for property owners that aren't local. Anyway, there are maybe many places that seem equal, however that is just not true when taken account of an ensemble expenses. In conclusion, the contributing factors previously mentioned is just a small fraction of what makes Evanston Wyoming an affordable place to live, it has a spectacular community where you can guarantee you, the fam, as well as your personal possessions will be safe. Don't forget, if you're coming from below the winter battle zone just get use to snow accumulations that stick around for 3-7 months, varying by the year.

    Traveling around the country last 6 months or so coast to coast on several different routes and visiting/staying in places, I've learned/seen that overall prices are fairly close for foods and supplies. Chain stores such as Kroger's (which includes Smith's (and Fry's/Dillon's/City Market/King Shoppers, etc)) 90% of the time have the same sale prices across all stores in all areas. Regular non-sale prices MAY be a bit higher/lower on especially stuff like milk and bread/butter. What is WAY out of whack is housing/taxes and fuel. I've been from CA to VA and down to TX and across the plains up through UT and WY and back to OH and PA. Gas ranged from 2.59-5.89, crazy. And, using a points card (like Kroger's) can get you fuel MUCH cheaper. Actually went thru Evanston on March 4th, about a week before you filmed this.

      Nothing is cheap in Wyoming. Wait till you buy car insurance and license plates.

    Most property owners in Wyoming, get ZERO services. That's why the taxes are low. Numbers don't lie, only the people telling them.

    Housing is not cheap here, it's outrageous .
    Don't move here, you will not like the weather, it's brutal and harsh.
    Just don't even think about moving to wyoming, not much going on, the single scene doesn't exist and we don't want outsiders. Sorry to be harsh but that's reality

    What’a the farmers market, and local ranchers scene like

    • @carterpettit1
      @carterpettit1  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      the Farmers market is in the summers on Thursdays, in the downtown area. It is a place where local growers and vendors come to sell products. As far as local ranchers, we have 3-4 big ranchers who raise cow and sheep in the area. As well as a bunch of smaller cow operations.

      Thank you. We source 90+% of our food from the farmers market and local ranchers.

    I lived in Evanston Wyoming in 1977 through 80. I’m sure things have changed big time. I know there are very nice people living there but that is one Cold place and Dammit the wind hardly ever stops Blowing. If you’re not used to Cold Windy Country keep on Looking cuz you won’t make it there…… The reason I left cuz the Oil boom went bust but I truly enjoyed Evanston.
