I’ve always found it so interesting how easy the game was supposed to be. The devs were like imagine your on a mountain and can walk across the river to get to the other side, that was the whole premise and then build battling happened
As someone who aways is finding ways to abuse the system, I understand why the try hardships did what they did in fortnite

This is the real game where console, PC & videogames started to matter me by an increasingly high rate. Though I quit Fortnite 3 years ago. It's still a nostalgic game considering I have memories when I used to play with my friends in Playground mode back in season 4/5 2018 (Chapter 1). It truly makes me feel happy but sad but this game will at least be remembered for around half a century (or maybe forever) since it's one game that made my life entirely onto the world of gaming. Excluding Minecraft that got me into video-games in around 2012, but videogames didn't matter too much for me then.

It'll never be the same honestly.
I mean one of the things that made the game fun was also the defults -- which now are extinct.
A big part of the game was the stupidity of everyone, and how there were no extreme sweats like there are now.
They also forgot the other things that made OG Fortnite OG Fortnite, like the sound design, effects and such.
Not to mention to weapons and traps.
I think people are misunderstanding what made OG Fortnite special, it wasn't just the map.
And it's also Season 5, which isn't even OG. I was thinking they would take it back somewhere between 1 - 3. Preferably Season 1 or 2.
This is the only game that was better in "beta."
(Chapter 3, Season 3 specifically can compete with it, IMO.)

The game was awesome back then, getting on with your friends, looking at new weapons, new purchasable items, fun gunplay, a simple map with a special touch you can't quiet describe, actually building forts and enjoying the game knowing there wouldn't be "toxic sweats" some might say, and then it stops. The passion was lost for molding the game. It all reminds me of a quote really.

As someone who played from chapter 2 of the OG season, the game became a "Sweat-fest" (as people call it) very early on. Maybe around the time double pump was discovered
And well finding out that building a fort isnt that helpful as people can just rush you

I've seen this video probably 50 times but watching it with the original audio is just something else. The feeling that this game had back then was surreal.
After all these memories, I want to thank epic. Might not always have the best updates, but it used to be great. Hope the og season captures at least a little of the joy we used to get.

i miss 2017 fortnite so so much, it was literal perfection. playing squad games every night with friends, listening to the og music while in the lobby, getting insanely nervous at top 3 situations. it really was the greatest game ever made, and no game will ever be able to recreate the feeling we all got from og fornite.
