Sanders Ferry Park, in Hendersonville, TN, is a fun lakeside park with water access, a frisbee golf course, several picnic shelters, a great walking trail, and beautiful scenery. On weekends, and especially in the summer months, this park will often have events held at it which can draw huge crowds of people, but can also be a great place for a nice calm lakeside walk in the morning or any day of the week.
One of the top parks in Hendersonville, Tennessee, near Nashville, Sanders Ferry Park is located at the southern portion of the western peninsula on Old Hickory lake. It is the former spot where James Sanders' ferry (hence the name, "Sanders Ferry Park") used to cross the Cumberland River in the early 19th century.
Located adjacent to Nashville, TN, Hendersonville is a wonderful, blossoming suburb with a number of beautiful neighborhoods and homes located throughout. This really is one of the best towns in Tennessee!
