Oh boy. This could either turn Kompany into a "Xabi Alonso" or a "Frank Lampard" 😮
Most likely Lampard
Very similar comparisons tbh.. Lampard had a decent time at Derby, but Chelsea was a jump too far although he did great qualifying the top 4 in his first season with a transfer window ban.
There are 3 criteria to make someone a top tactician in modern football.
Learn complex tactical ideas from a young age at a tactically extremely sophisticated academy like LaMasia.
Did not play kick and rush football in his playing career. So he can develop a tactical mindset to build up step by step in a methodical way.
This is the most important one. Played as a DM/CB/GK (a central role at the back) for, or work with PepGuardiola, the greatest tactician in football history who revolutionised modern football. So he gets the opportunity to learn the most advanced, complex and sophisticated tactics in modern football.
Capable to divide his tactics into thousands of pieces/details and feed/pre-instruct them into his players. Capable to control every single positioning and movements of his players like playing tactical chess under a microscope.
With the cap and hair gone he will look like Pep replica 😂😂😂
Lampard did great with Chelsea first season and Everton. So Kompany would be ok then.
Why is Kane constantly finding himself in this kind of mess?
"Football heritage." 🇵🇹
I dont even get the whole Kane cant win a title meme. Wasnt he playing for Tottenham his whole life which is a very average club that doesnt win anything?
Because he's handsome.
Because its the history of the Tottenham 👀
20.5 million GBP income per year (at least), being top scorer of Europe, CL semi final (witch they could have won), kicked Arsenal out before, is smiling all the time, he feels loved and respected,...
I don't think Kane feels like he's in a total mess. He will some silverware at Bayern
Kane just can't take a break huh 😂
Neither can ur mother. Always got a mouthful so she can pay for u to sit at home and cry about england and the pl🤣🤣🤣🤣

How can you justify sacking tuchel for kompany?!
A pet rock would be better than Tuchel
They’ve won NOTHING with Tuchel. They can’t possibly win any less with Kompany lol. The thing with Bayern is their options are limited right now.
At the end of next season, the decision may well be justified. Tuchel won some games but had no trophy.
how can you justify sacking nagelsmann for tuchel? was last years question i believe :)
I don't care for this elitist talk. Kompany is a professional manager. He deserves a chance at any club. Same as wijnaldum deserved a transfer to Liverpool
People hating on Kompany are just simple-minded noobs. Xabi Alonso had a very average managerial career with Real Sociedad B before he got appointed as Leverkusen manager. Kompany managed to promote Burnley from the Championship to EPL, whereas Xabi failed to do so with Real Sociedad B. Kompany is actually a good manager, but he just didnt have the resource with Burnley.
Well, the difference is the Pressure. The Entire World will look at Kompany and Bayern and if they lose one Match the Fans will start to riot. They wont give him the Time to do his thing, thats the Difference between Bayern and Leverkusen
I get you but comparing two people is comparing apples and oranges to me bayern are taking a huge gamble it may work out it may not
If we are going to criticise Xabi for his failure with Sociedad B team, then we could also say that Sean Dyche managed to get Burnley to European places, where as Kompany got them relegated.
But, nobody would actually prefer a dinosaur like Dyche over Kompany, so to discredit Alonso like this is really stupid.
It's all an elitist mentality. Only certain managers must go to certain clubs and vise versa 🙄. The guy's a professional manager and deserves a chance
@@jascha2765funny... The people that will say Pep is overrated because he's only been at the biggest club will turn around and echo what you say about Kompany 🙄
Moreno is right. It's not about teaching Müller or Kimmich how to kick the ball, it's much more about the general mood in the dressing room, about how Bayern works.
I don't know anything about Kompany as a manager, but I know that he will be the very first who speaks all languages of the players perfectly (German, French, English, Dutch) and even some Spanish.
I hope the board gives him a fair chance and stands behind him. Some players certainly need a kick in the a$$.
What about we offer Ale Moreno to become Barcalona coach since he is very good in talking in the studio. Let see what how good is he.

And didn’t stay there for too long either…

Funny thing none of these things said when Lampard took over in Chelsea. 😂 British tax lol
Kompany is much better than Lampard
Burnley had clear pattern of plays. Even when they were losing during the first half of the season the players missed loads of goal scoring opportunities. And Kompany’s football was easy on the eye.
The rhetoric that Kompany played under Pep and hence that influences Bayern’s decision is straight from the book of amateur who has says something because there’s nothing else to say as he has done no research.
Well done Nedum!
Thank you and agreed. You could definitely see what Burnley were trying to do and Kompany knows how to work with players, having played at a very high level himself.
I think he’ll do well
With the players at his disposal at Bayern, he will shine
People are criticising this move because they only understand it on superficial level of they have hired a coach who got relegated. If Bayern could pick any coach in the world to take over the team it would be Pep Guardiola. He has made it clear he is never going back to Bayern. So then you target a Pep disciple who plays the same way. Arteta and Alonso are not going to join Bayern, so you go for the Pep disciple who is obtainable and has potential to be great and speaks fluent German. Kompany’s style will work better with Bayern players than Burnley players like Jack Cork. It is definitely a risk, but I wouldn’t be surprised if made Bayern win the league.
It was still atleast there 4th choice
Exactly. The man may not have been an assistant coach under Pep, but he was Pep's captain for years at City. It is a risky decision, but he won the Championship with 101 points as recently as two seasons ago. Speaks several languages, was a ball playing CB, so he can improve the weakest link of Bayern which is their defense and how they play out from the back. Might fail, might work.
The senior players will throw him under the bus in 6 months😂😂😂
Kompany was the leader of those early successful man city teams.
He’ll be fine at Bayern Munich

Pep was nobody before his Barcelona appointment. Give him a break
People will only see the relegation losses that Kompany had because of some non-quality players but however he helped burnley escape the championship next year and helped burnley get into the premier league. However because of their poor quality players they weren’t really able to win any games. So we will see the asset of his playstyle at Bayern
He also walked into a legendary group of players....

Bayern Muchen is really needy to pick Vincent Kompany of all people. This is a horrible pick, Kompany is not ready for this and hasn't been in a coaching role enough to take on this. (thank you Shaka...you told the truth)
We could have said the same about Hansi Flick
As a Burnley fan I really hope VK does well at Bayern. Really can’t knock the guy for choosing to join one of the biggest clubs in the world.
You can't compare Bayern and Leverkusen at all. Leverkusen has a much quieter environment. A trainer can work there in peace. FC Bayern is a completely different world! The environment there is very nervous. The media is merciless and there is a lot of unrest in the club at the moment. Especially because a certain Mr. Hoeneß keeps getting involved. Not a club for young aspiring coaches. My guess is that if Bayern bring Kompany in, he will be fired by the winter break and Eberl with him.
Bayern another trophyless season incoming with Kane and Co(Kompany)
Poor Kane. Would Tottenham had done better is Kane stayed and played under Ange? Anyone wanna tackle this question?
Kompany had a great career while playing the sport and as a coach it was great that he got Burnley promoted.. yeah they got relegated right away but that doesn't eliminate the credentials from this man.. everyone has ups & downs and this was one of his downs with Burnley.. it happens but I believe if he does a good job at bayern everyone will forget about Burnley and praise him as an amazing coach for the upcoming future.. Kompany might just surprise us all.
This is nuts. Pochettino gets fired despite doing a great job and now Kompany is getting rewarded despite getting his team relegated and barely having any managerial experience. If he gets hired good for him.
The good thing for him is that he'll have great resources to work with and that might actually work in his favor. Also very impressive considering the few black managers around aren't in high profile jobs. What an accomplishment if it comes to pass.
You don’t understand the situations. Poch didn’t want to be there. He had disagreements with ownership and they decided to move on. As for Kompany it’s a potential steal. All great coaches didn’t have huge jobs at one time in their career.
Ale put everything on line 100%. He’s not a coach he’s an assistant coach’s. There’s no direction with him 😅
To consider Moreno an expert shows you have neither a direction nor a clue.
Why not? You can only have success at Bayern as a "finished article"?
Flick took over as an assistant coach and won 6 trophys in one season, Ancelotti joined Bayern and failed (more or less).
The only coach that was expected to work at Bayern and did was Guardiola and even he was criticised cause he couldnt get past the semifinals three times in a row.
Jupp Heynckes wasnt expected to have that kind of success, Nagelsmann was.
It´s a roll of a dice almost every single time a new coach takes over
I dont understand all the hate for kompany. Even if he was relegated there were so many games this season where VAR went against them or like the united game where they dominates and then a bruno worldie is what beat them in the end. I think if the season was restarted and a couple more things went his way burnley would have stayed up.
How many games did he win? Don't use an injury ridden united with casemiro at the backline to make kompany look better
@@angelotroseboom1186 im not you idiot? Did you read what i said?
Hensi flicke was available. And I'm available too. I didn't get relegated at least 😊
Flick wants Barca
Flick is burned in germany after his clueless performances as national coach.
Xabi Alonso got Sociedad B relegated before he joined Leverkusen
Flick's reputation in Germany is ruined because of his embarrassing performance as national coach. The majority of Bayern fans don't want him back, and probably also the german Bayern players don't want him back. In the WC documentary you can see that Kimmich and Müller in particular were not at all satisfied with his tactics and the relationship became really bad. That's why some of the Bayern bosses prefer someone else and not him.
@@restinzasnot to forget that his departure wasn’t on good terms. His main rivals at the club might be gone but it’s possible that there are still people in the club that are still mad about the way he left.
They got their 9th choice to take the job. I can totally see them having a breathtaking season 😅
We all know he's not...
At this point, Bayern could even let a Brick coach them
Same pundits are gonna be calling him "Out of his depth" soon as Bayern drop their 1st points of the season!
I think for Bayern Munich, they just need a manager to bridge the gap between now and whenever they can get someone like Alonso or Klopp. If he does well that's great.. it's a gamble but its pretty much like patching a hole temporarily.
Klopp has said he would never coach Bayern and it is clear Alonso has a preference for Liverpool and Real Madrid over Bayern. That is why they went for a younger coach who could be in the job for a long time. It is a risk but it could pay off Kompany style works better with top players.
@@Delboy0 maybe they have an arangement with alonso for next season

Relegation with Burnley gets you Bayern links now??? I wonder if it would have been the same with Sean Dyche>
Kompany was average at Anderlecht, won the championship with the largest budget and wage bill , stunk up the PL. People comparing him to alonso haven't been watching closely.
What was he supposed to do with Anderlecht? Win the Champions league? A coach is only as good as his players. And it's really demented and bigoted to credit the ''budget and wage bill'' of Burnley for his success there. Bayern likely have the ''biggest budget and wage bill'' in Germany. So if he does well there, you'll of course say it was because of that, wouldn't you? Pep Guardiola ALWAYS has the ''biggest budget and wage bill'' wherever he goes. Is that why he is a winner, or does your theory only apply to people who look like Vincent Kompany?
Nagelsmann was more unqualified than Kompany when he got hired nor did he have a player career even as close as Kompany. All these arguments against Kompany as Bayern coach are dumb.

Chances this will end in a disaster are at least 40%!! With all due respect for Kompany, a move from Burnley to Bayern is too crazy. I have a feeling the Bayern bosses wanted a coach of colour to better reach and improve the players of colour at the club because they kept lacking something in the last few years (Musiala being the exception).

Ale's comments aged well...
Bayern have tried to approach everyone including me if kompany says no they will be looking at my 5th grade PE teacher😂
If you really look at it Bayern have not been turned down as much as the media like to say. 1. Alonso: He just had one of the best club seasons ever with Leverkusen so staying with them is much more a decision in favor of Leverkusen rather than against bayern. 2. Nagelsmann: Nagelsmann has a European Championship coming up with Germany in his homecountry which is one of the most exciting tasks you can have in world football. Agreeing on something with Bayern before the tournament starts could potentially jeopardize its success. Moreover, there was some opposition among the Bayern rank against Nagelsmann. So again his decision is in favor of Germany and not really against bayern (who also were never 100% in on Nagelsmann return). Rangnick: Same as with Nagelsmann. Bug tournament coming up with lots of potential. Again, in favor of Austria not against bayern. 4. Tuchel: Bayern simply did not want to offer what Tuchel wanted, which indicates that they have something in the pipe for the coming years 25 or 26 (Alonso, Guardiola, Klopp?) 5. Emery: Aston Villa literally rebuild their club and installed friends and colleagues of Emery from Villareal to make Emery happy. no way he is leaving when they do all this for him.
----> in sum: all of these managers had really good situation going which would be stupid to leave for any club or in Tuchel's (and partly Nagelsmann's) case were not wanted as much by Bayern. It's not about not wanting to coach bayern munich it is more about the value of what they already have. media just loves to hate. Y'all gonna be real quiet when bayern starts to dominate again
Pep must be proud to see his proteges having this much success. Xabi, Alonso and Kompany 👏🏾👏🏾
I honestly dont get the whole point about the experience conversation. Which coach started his career with an already coaching experience at a big club. All the big coaches we see today, it took one big club at a point to take a chance on them.
Stop confusing a great player with a great manager!……..have people not learnt?…….Rooney, Lampard, Gerrard,Solsjkaer etc etc…….the list goes on
I will be shocked if this happens.
Pls sign sean dyche now, he got burnley to european football! Get louis van gaal, he kept united playing possession football (but still not winning any games for straight 10 games, just like kompany)
Kompany working at Bayern is much more likely than Flick working at Barcelona ...
Could be wrong though
We always think a famous name as coach is a guarantee for success. Thats bollocks, look at Tuchel at Bayern. Xavi at Barcelona ecc. There are plenty of examples. I think this is a good move. And I am glad a big Club like Bayern takes that risk.
