I have a Wells Lamont 1132 leather gloves, and I treated them with Neetsfoot oil, and they work great! Thanks for your awesome video.

I had deer hide, got them covered... COVERED in motor oil; OH NO!!! They're ruined. Lasted a year with no tears, were water proof, soft as a baby. Lost them.

I too love the plainsman work gloves, altho I don’t use them for tree work, firewood, etc. Did not know about treating them. Will give that a try. Very good for everything else - construction, digging, weedeating, etc. For firewood I use Youngstown kevlar gloves. So far, so good. No holes yet. Thank you.

Great video. I usually get the Wells Lamont 3 pack at Costco, same thing as the Sams Club ones you get. Very informative video, especially about the cut proof gloves, I was wondering if they were good for thorns and you answered my question in the video.

Thick heavy leather Elk skin gloves, pad your hand very well, expensive.
These will out last any other work gloves out there.
The best for abusive tasks, like handling barb wire, picking up hay bales by the twine.

Can you tell me how to CLEAN leather gloves, after many uses my cloves become stiff ,in the morning I have to bang them on a table/ or ,and even then have trouble getting in them ,( sweat makes them stiff) anyone can wash them but what is the best way,and I don't need rain protection ( could ) but what can I put on the outside to bring them back to life after a wash and dry ?

      Oil
Edit. Literally any oil. I used chainsaw chain lube oil once and actually found that to be the best oil to use.

I like to oil my gloves with used engine oil but don’t put to much or it will soak through and make the inside of your gloves dirty

Would you be so kind as to advise me on welding gloves or other heat proof gloves? I do a lot of baking and pot holders are just not cutting it. Because I work with food I would like to be able to clean the suede but is that even possible? Finding a smaller size looks like a problem too.

Knox Fit...Knoxville Glove Co...model 1868 work gloves are the best for heavy construction...specifically ironworking and light welding. They last for approximately 4 weeks.

+Jon A Large gloves are not wide enough in the palm for me. I have found that leather gloves tend to shrink in the length and widen a little in the width.

+hansonsux Thanks for the input. I still use the moving text but less often in my newer videos. The purpose of the moving text is that it catches the eye.

Best part of not wearing gloves is they heal themselves and last forever!
