Is it possible to do economics or finance through an access course? I didn't end up taking A Levels although I did achieve a 4 in GCSE English and GCSE Maths.
Hi Ben, we are certain there will be Access to HE: finance/economics courses! Unfortunately we don't provide an Access course in this area, but definitely do some research as there's bound to be a provider that offers this course ☺
Hi! We offer an Access to HE Health course which you would go on to do nursing or midwifery mainly. It would also align to any other healthcare roles. We don't unfortunately offer one for general science, so we couldn't properly advise on this. Thanks!
@@ileniapusceddu Hi! We do have GCSE entry requirements in order to enrol onto our Access to HE courses. You need to have a minimum of a grade C or 4 in GCSE English Language and GCSE Maths. If you have any further questions, please let us know ☺️
Hi sis, i did iGCSE in art subjects math ,english and general science . And did master etc Iam interested in nursing.. am i eligible for access to a higher education diploma. Which diploma i should start for admission in nursing .
Hello! If you want to pursue a degree in nursing, the Access to Higher Education Health Professions Diploma would be the one, as it lends itself to healthcare careers such as nursing and midwifery. In terms of entry requirements, you must be at least 19 years old, and you will also need to have a minimum of a grade C or 4 in GCSE English Language and GCSE Maths. Functional Skills Level 2 Maths and English will also be considered. If you'd like to discuss the entry requirements further, please email our academic team on Academic@openstudycollege.com. Thanks 😄
Hello there, I am due to leave my current job next year, I have been working hard to get my GCSEs sorted before I go and so far it's looking good, and should have five under my belt by the time I'm due to go. I am looking towards the future to study Podiatry at University but need to do an access course for the UCAS points, and the qualification. You mention the two-year H.E but what I'd like to know is how involved is it to do in one year? Is it considerably more condensed in one year, I take it would mean going to college and what kind of workload would I expect weekly? Yours kindly James
Hi James, thank you for your comment. It's great to hear all about your career goals and plans! Our Access to HE courses are two years long, and it's not possible to study the ones we offer in one year. It's just not something we personally offer as a course provider unfortunately, as we are a distance learning college and therefore the studying only counts as part time. There are other providers that offer one year Access to HE courses, so we would recommend enquiring with others that offer the one year option. We wish you the best of luck for the future 😊
