Congratulations on a job well done! I am a landlord and I love how you attached your nicely made wooden screen with zip ties so as not to damage existing structure. Looks great!

If anyone complains attach a bench to the front and call the wall the back of the bench.

Just so you don't get into any trouble with the privacy fence...grab some plastic flower pots from dollar tree or walmart all the same color. Drill two holes at top, use floral wire to attach pots to your privacy fence and plant flowers, veggies or just outdoor plants. If the management doesn't like that you attached the privacy fence put the legs in some nice plant pots, put concrete in pots and it will weigh it down and keep upright.😊

I probably wouldn't have put up a privacy fence. I would have sat out on the patio naked while eating my dinner. That would be enough to keep the neighbors indoors.....or at least give them something to look at. However, your privacy fence looks great, and it's a brilliant idea.

This lack of privacy is why I do not use my porch at my house, and I have been in home for many years. I have thought long and hard on how I would go about putting up a privacy screen, and this is a good idea, but out of my skill set, but I might be able to do something, although, my lack of privacy is at more than one angle. Great video.

Turned out great! And like that you matched the apartment siding color - smart :)
Also feel your privacy pain. I used to take my lunch break in a huge empty abandoned store parking lot. To eat, listen to the radio & throw bread crusts to the birds. And almost every day, a lady would park in front of me, bumper to bumper, on her lunch break too. I guess she wanted company.

If I were him I would busy myself or go inside while you ate because I wouldn't want you to think I was staring at you lol!! You are stronger than I am and that's a great thing. I've always had a problem standing up for myself in any circumstance

As soon as I heard “staring right at us”, I realized this was a drama channel and not a DIY channel. A neighbor probably just enjoying the views does not equate to staring at you. Jesus, TH-camrs are such out of touch, ego driven bozos. Unsubscribed.

      I agree
Like how would they know they’re being stared at if they aren’t looking themselves!
I think she’s the problem not the neighbor 😊

If you choose to sit in the one out of three chairs that are facing your neighbors while you’re outside you’re just the weirdo making an awkward situation. Not very hard to understand when you know social cues

Are you the neighbour?🤣 Because you totally sound like a guy who chooses to look at his young female neighbour , making her uncomfortable in her own space, instead of the view right in front of him.

@@KarMa-ws3ll Actually, I’m a woman who is using her sons account, and no, I’m not the neighbor. I’m guessing the neighbor is wondering why his neighbor is on her balcony filming in his direction, all while talking into the camera. Also, the neighbor isn’t the one filming her place of residence to post to the world, she’s filming his. Irony at its finest. Anywho, keep defending a TH-camr who only cares about you watching, commenting, and using their affiliate links, because you totally sound like a woman who is a pathetic doormat. Toodles!

Are you doing something that someone would want to stare at you? They aren't staring. I understand you want privacy but just say that. Now they won't notice you staring at them.

really? your neighbors must be saying the very same thing about you when you use the patio.

Vertical boards would have given more privacy. Could have a grown annual vine and had completely privacy. This was an annoying video. Too much wasted time on useless gabbing.

This is awesome! Thanks for sharing! I'm a new subbie and now to binge watch some other DIYs you did! 🪚 Please let us know if you get any apartment complaints/management emails ... I hope not

Hi!! Thanks for subbing and watching! 💜 So far, no complaints about the patio, and I've had several inspections inside and nothing was said... so fingers crossed it's all good! 🤞
