Dame Edna, found a better seat! LOL LOL That was a great introduction to this show! I bet the Queen and Philip, who saw it on the telly, laughed their heads off too! Those days are gone now, and we have You Tube to thank for still showing these videos from years gone by! Great moment to view this again and again!

I am reminded after reading some of the comments regarding this young mans accent about my own situation I have belonged to the British Club for well over 40 years and have served on all of the committee's especially the President role.Many times when a new comer would join the club she has said out loud with cotton wool in her mouth 'Oh you still have your Barnsley accent'to which my reply was always 'Yes I do thank you for noticing 'I have had the pleasure of meeting with the Souths finest and have never had a problem speaking.

I had the pleasure of seeing Barry Humphries at the Princes Theater in Melbourne and having seen him before I was deliberately late with the woman I was with, and it was brilliant he asked us our names along with others scattered throughout the theater and without fail accurately called on each person by name all night asking questions and using us as live props for his show.... when I say all night that is not quite true for when my girlfriend wanted the ladies room she sternly informed me that she would not be coming back to be embarrassed by the star so we left much to my regret .... brilliant does not do this man justice!!
