We paid $220 and didn't even get to talk to an instructor. We had an appointment at 4:30 and at 5:30 we were still waiting to speak to someone. We decided to leave and they took our money.
This sounds like a frustrating experience and we apologize as this is not typical of us. Please send us a direct message on Instagram or Facebook with your contact information and the tunnel location so we can further assist you.
What high school classes should I take to become/help become an indoor skydiving instructor? I've searched all around google and I couldn't find anything so please let me know!
We offer the full faced helmet option to rent for all of our guests and have great bundles if you wanted to upgrade to the full faced helmet. If you wished to buy one of your own, as many of our frequent flyers do. There are many good companies to choose from. We use Cookie helmets that range from $300-$400! ❤
The entire experience lasts about an hour and a half during which you'll check in, meet your instructor, go through a short training class, gear up, and then fly! The actual flight time depends on the package you choose, and we have packages with 2-5 Flights for your first time.
An instructor will always be in the tunnel with you for your safety, but the instructor’s goal is to get you to fly on your own! In the beginning, the instructor will be holding you and helping you adjust your body position so that you can hopefully fly on your own in no time!
My instructor was able to stand in front of me on my second trip there and didn't need to be so close to my side. I did a total of 12 2 minute flights that day. He was able to get in front of me on my 12th flight. Also, on my second trip, he was having me enter the tunnel on my own without assistance. On one of those entrances, I thought I was gonna lose it when I entered, but saved myself. It all clicked on my last flight and I was able to get very stable and that's when my instructor decided to get in front of me.

The Portland iFly offers full face helmets. Didn't think I'd like a full face helmet, but with this much wind, it definitely helps.
How long does a flight session last?
