So apparently this monsterous sponge IS infact SpongeBob we though he all died but by watching the comic later on it's revealed taht he's been growing on all of the patrick clones and is seeking revenge on the tortured one. The only reason he survived is as i quote "because your a messy eater" and SpongeBob also says that sea sponges can regenerate from a single cell so yup that's where this comes from
So basically. This comes from the comic known as "Bikini bottom horror" Where mr Krabs steals a peice of patrics arms and it regenerates into a whole new patrick adn uses that patrick as his krabby patty meat. spongebob undercooks one and when patrick eats it all the pain and anguish the duplicate felt is transfered to patricks mind. patrick seeks revenge and murders spongebob and then moves on to the town. i wont tell the rest cause the storytelling and art work is GREAT. id highly recommend it
