there is some good news about this, the 05 council succeeded in killing a wiki author using 5999, the bad news for them was that the death results in a permanent destruction of the multiverse, if they actually killed all the authors it would result in a ZK class end of reality scenario

Ironically, the 05 council would only know about us because someone wrote a story about them knowing about us. I can understand why they’d be mad though, considering the writers decided that this universe they collectively created is a universe of nightmares.
If the writers wanted it they could just drop a letter to the O5 which contains the face of scp 096 to mess with them and bring them back to do it again

Funny thing, they are aware of their fictional nature because we (readers and authors) want them to be aware. So every plan they make, every attempt to unlink their reality is just a futile effort as whatever it may happen it is because someone wrote it. So if someone did write that the O5 managed to scape this alpha dimension reality bending effects then they would be in fact still be under dimension alpha effects.
Sorry fellow O5, there is no point on fighting this one, as the fight would be literally written down by the ones at the other side.
What's also funny is that not even us, the "higher beings" can make them escape dimension alpha's effects!

The "The Database" ending reads to me more like they're unsure if their solution could even work. They have no evidence if us in our SCP-001 universe layer are even susceptible to memetic agets, be it kill agents or other.

The reason the SCP foundation works without having a single cannon is this:
there is always a canonical layer of meta-ness above the current layer
suppose something in the scp foundation destroys the entire universe. No big deal, a metaverse can exist.
what if the metaverse is destroyed? we can have a meta-metaverse, can we not?
and so on, and so on.
that means every possible combination of events can exist in tandem with each other, while none contradicts another.

@@crystaluwu1012 Here's the thing: There's no "One" cause of the SCP foundation. This is because of the endless layers of multiversal interaction. Sure, in some universes that's the cause, but in others, it is not. Every SCP-001 is canon in one universe, but none are canon in all of them.
Lol this is amazing, I legit have a story that is basically this premise. The main character (he's from a different fandom) gets thrown back into the world he died in and the experience causes him to gain abnormal reality shifting abilities, discovering the truth of..well everything. Down to being technically the creation of a fan and not entirely the original character
Literally this seems to be just an SCP variant of my fanfiction concept. But one thing is different: the fan-made stuff is not able to affect the original stuff.
Separate universes exist for each fan and canon reality, and the 4th wall is an impassable barrier around our universe. A character can become aware, but other versions of the same character won't.

Consider this. The fact that 05 command know they are fiction was written. Their subsequent containment protocol was written as a part of that fiction. If the memetic kill agent exists and is effective, then some real person created it for the fictional characters to have and use against us here in the "alpha layer".

Personally I like to think that any and all stories, movies, games, shows, and so on are somehow glimpses into other realities that were able to see and that we've just taken these as inspirations for our stories. I don't sounds dumb but I can't get the idea out of my head.

According to this proposal, SCP-001 is the all the authors who worked in the SCP Foundation website (and perhaps even beyond), even those who did so much as change a sentence
My belief about SCP-001 is that the gate guardian, scarlet king, etc. were discovered before the foundation really fully formed, and before they had their classification system. The title of 001 should go to something like the prototype or the sheaf of papers, whatever the first anomaly classified was. The others just haven't been given a number yet. Maybe because the foundation doesn't know where to put them, or maybe to hide something. My idea is that SCP-000 is our consciousness. The wiki authors creating the SCP world, human decisions making new realities, whatever the foundation was after in SCP-5000, 049's "pestilence", 682's hatred, they're all one force.
Just a theory:
The unkillable lizard knows this truth, and is aware that his suffering and pain is just futile and a cheap imitation of the writers narrative. So he is hateful and disgusted that he is tormented by something futile and insignificant so he wants to kill and end everything.. ;)

That's honestly a chilling interpretation, really explains why it hates people so much. It knows every day there are going to be more and more stories with more and more suffering for it. It knows it will regenerate the next day just to suffer more and more.

Time to write an scp about a chair that makes everyone within a 20 meter radius shit uncontrollably and see what the foundation thinks about me
The 05 council in this instance may be avatars for the authors / admins of the wiki. Only playing the role when staff comes close to finding out the truth. The Council eventually pays homage to the site's readers with the inclusion of 5999 but structured to both resemble just another series of events and to ward off in-universe personel for extra insurance.
That would mean the 05 Council could theoretically have some ability to enforce their policies in our world. Or perhaps, The Database is the only thing keeping our world from becoming theirs. An incursion that will make the in-universe apocalypse look like a joke.
I don't know why, but I love metafiction like this!

The mistake the 01 council made in this one is believing the anomalous things we write into their universe would work in ours, they have no way of combatting this version of 001, ever.
I doubt any "Kill agent" would work since those things only exist in their fiction where the rules of their universe allow such things to work. Sending any such Kill Agent to our side would be pointless it may be a deadly picture in their world but in ours, it is just a picture. They would have to find a way to make their own fiction and somehow bind that with our universe just to get the right rules in place to make any such kill agent to work here but doing that they might as well use that knowledge to fix and separate their world from any further changes from ours.

Actually, by logic, the fact that they created the kill agent means someone wrote them creating the agent (As they're fiction, they can't create anything themselves), which is proven true by the fact this story is written by someone. As such, it would still count as fiction and wouldn't work anyways.
Scp 5999 is their most powerful memetic kill agent that they use for try to kill us but for us just jump scare LOL

Your scp explained videos by this logic have certainly affected the visual appearance of the scp's within their universe due to the number of people who have viewed your content, visualized and accepted your depiction of them as the accepted view. Thus affecting the SCP universes monsters.
I'd laugh if there's a mini story of the scientists beginning to see scps seen as more of a cartoon stylized depiction due to your artstyle changing them into partially infographic style entities.

Watching only SCP animations is like having a taster for poison, if there's a memetic kill agent, no one will survive it to animate it.
Since every person reading about the SCP foundation is different and interprets things differently (like how it's explained in the video) that leaves two possibilities I can see. Either the SCP universe changes on a whim, reality being rewritten with the most current consumption of any new information and that person interpretation of such, which would be overall chaos as very little would be stagnant. Or there are numerous SCP universes, each one linked to a certain reader who knows any piece of information about the SCP universe, and this individual universe changes slightly each time new ideas or information about the universe is learned by the individual linked to it. Personally I prefer the latter. On a side note though, the foundation surely realizes that overall the database is one of the few things keeping their reality alive, because as long as it remains worth writing or learning about, it will continue to grow, and never be destroyed by any of the SCPS capable of destorying it. As if it is destroyed, we would lose that outlet to write about or consume information from, so we will not let it die, not permanently at least. That raises the question however, should our society collapse, will the SCP universe die when the last knowldge of it's existence dies, or will it remain as it was at it's last point, never getting worse, but never getting better either?
If SCP-001 is a closely guarded secret, its most likely thaumiel class, as most thaumiel anomalies are closely guarded for how useful they are.

I've always thought this and it doesn't really concern this video, but I need to say it:
The idea that there are multiple 001's because they are SCPs discovered before the introduction of the numbering system is, frankly, a bit puzzling.
If I have an archive of material and decide to introduce a new archival method, I don't just throw all of my extant material into one folder and call it a day until I get new material. I go through all of my material and apply my new system to it.

Going with the story flow here, a theory comes to mind.
SCP-001 is an anomalous property of OUR universe. Since the writers here can affect the SCP universe it makes a certain amount of sense. Our universe's anomalous property is the well from which all others arise. If that's the case than anytime a Forth-Wall is "Forged" a new reality is then born. Every time you create some new narrative, it now exists in the multi-verse.

Lucky for us O5 is unaware there is no such thing as mimetic anything on the alpha layer. Let alone a kill again. That is something the wiki authors made up whole cloth for the SCP universe. Memetic isn't even a psychological or scientific term. Memetic kill agents are just pretty picture to use.
