He won the public vote, he won people's hearts. The audience chanting "cha cha cha" and "Käärijä" says a lot on who is the real winner. He did in fact prove that a song in Finnish can win! The whole Finnish delegation and country should be every proud of that! As a fan from the U.S, I'm so happy that he has so much support!

He has so much Charisma and such a nice vibe that I can't describe. Meanwhile Loreen is so uncharismatic, arrogant and lifeless. Käärijä is the true winner for us. He won the Public vote and made history with second most votes from The Public in Eurovision History !
He was robbed! Eurovision needs to do something about the juries! I find it ridiculous how a few dozen biased "professional" juries get more power and votes than a few million people. Käärijä will be remembered in our hearts! 💚💚💚

he is more fluent in English than I thought
He’s a bit all over the place when he talks - it’s a bit hard to follow his chain of thoughts throughout but I think he’s getting better. 😊
He got a LOT of practice during the run-up to the contest, that's for sure. Since leaving school, he only had to use English in one job when he was selling kitchens, but other than that he never got much practice before this year. Also, part of the "Käärijä" character's schtick is what Finns refer to as "rally driver English", so sometimes - especially in more comic situations - he puts on the strong accent & the missing out of articles before nouns. But it is true that his English isn't as good as many people in the Nordic countries ... partly maybe because he was at a vocational college from the age of 14 (doing Interior Design and Upholstery), as he was more into creativity and using his hands than reading and pursuing academia.

There was only one backing singer - Aija Puurtinen - and she was backstage for the Eurovision performances. There is a good article to be found with the title "Käärijän lauluvalmentaja Aija Puurtinen nostaa viisuesityksestä esiin yhden haasteen yli muiden - olisi vaikeaa kokeneellekin laulajalle" - searching for this should find the interview with her. If you don't read Finnish, then right-click 'Translate to English' will make it readable. Edit: be aware that because Finnish doesn't have separate pronouns for males and females, the automatic translations sometimes take pot-luck and will say "he" when they mean "she" and vice versa!

Correction: Finnland can’t win because the jury is rigged - the public voted Finnland all time high after Ukraine last year for obvious reasons. The Finnish result is actually insanely high
@@AnarUto50 Saying it’s rigged is probably an exaggeration. But what I would think is the jury might be quite homogenous and have a reputation to live up to and they might lean towards awarding points for more “serious” acts. The jury are probably in the music industry and have a reputation to live up to and therefore have to be “serious”- voting not by heart but the brain.
@@onomatopoetisk next year is ABBAs 50th anniversary. Not any anniversary, its literally THE eurovision band. There is no way, the jury wouldnt make sure Sweden winning for sure. Its def rigged and if you watch more of the years, its happening all the time, neighbours giving each other points, Germany not getting any, Norway not getting enough either. But Sweden was the focus this year. Dont hate Loreen, hate the jury

And those juries in the music business, probably everybody has connections to the Swedish music scene they want to appease to, that's why Sweden in top 5 with the jury every year
And don't even get me started that they started the final by teasing Sweden's 6 total victories in the scoreboard - and oh what a surprise now they're tied with Ireland for the most wins!
