Bobby, your frustration with hanging on to McCarthy is exactly how I feel about Dak.

I'll never forget the 2019 draft I was living south of Boston and driving UBER LYFT and there must have been 200 drivers gathered around the notepad at Logan airport which most of them were patriots or jets fans or other. Not one cowboy fan but me. However, everyone enjoyed it and was so impressed and I am glad I turned other fans on to the draft show. TY Bobby and Bryan and everyone involved.

Schottenheimer is residue of an older antiquated offense that really hasn’t had any major post season success in over 20 years. That Coryell scheme is just Amish compared to the Shanahan or Ben Johnson offenses. McCarthy tried to get Dak to use more WCO concepts and he failed to thrive so McCarthy (after game 6 of 2023) returned to the Garrett style that Dak was used to. The problem is: it’s only a portion of an actual offense and Kellen was exposed by Eberflus that “route combinations” alone is not a viable game plan. All that to say McCarthy is attempting to install a WCO from 1992 and Schottenheimer is a 1980’s Coryell coach. When you look at Ben Johnson, he does use Coryell language in his plays but operates a scheme that invents solutions rather than attempting the same play over and over expecting better results (because of blocking). Garrett and Kellen were both lost once teams figured them out. Ben Johnson, Liam Coen and Brady from the Bills create plays that limit repetition and recognizability.

That is one serious analysis from a very critical-thinking perspective, and even for someone like me that loves football, I'm not totally sure that I understand it all. Great job though.

Nothing makes sense. All expiring contracts before season started, including Dak & McClay. NOW, you decide to put it all back together and try again. Regression all around w no changes. Incompetent leadership.

How much was the most recent Chicago QB paid? Should be public knowledge. Share that with fans. If it’s even $6-$7M , Mike should take it. At his age, go for the money. That’s what players do.

My understanding about the Jimmy Johnson 🔥 firing... was Jimmy Johnson was in control of what players he brought in... Jimmy Johnson basically built a DYNASTY... IN 3 YRS WHILE JIMMY WAS IN CONTROL OF player PERSONAL... after Jimmy Johnson had built a Dynasty within a very short time... Jerry wanted control of player personnel... now we've seen what happens with Jerry IN control of player personnel... with Jerry in control we haven't even seen a 2nd post season Win and it's been this way ever since Jerry had taken control 31 yrs and the Cowboys haven't done anything for 31 yrs...
Jimmy Johnson started with a yr1, 1-15 team, 2nd yr SuperBowl, 3rd yr another SuperBowl... Jerry NOTHING

Dowdle a grade of A plus???? The guy only had 2 touchdowns for the year. As a team the Cowboys had ONLY 6 total. The Cowboys also were the worst team in the red zone. Out of 18 games in a regular season only two rushing touchdowns? If you said a D or less I’d be in on that but an A plus? Most of the runs I saw Dowdle run he was tripped up and tackled within the first three yards. Dallas’s run game if graded was an F minus because there was no running game to balance the passing game.

Bobby picks his own facts. Garrett only had 1 loosing season but a lot of 8-8. Garrett has 1 more playoff win but lost to McCarthy twice. Garrett went to the playoffs 3 times but in 9 seasons. McCarthy went 3 times in his first 4. Bobby is desperate to blame someone for the lack of Dak’s success. How many times did Garrett go to the playoffs in consecutive seasons? I’m ready to move on from McCarthy but don’t compare him to some of these other coaches

I would hope Savion Williams was still available.... and then I would focus on 1 DB AND everything else in the TRENCHes

Bobby, I know you're frustrated with the lack of success of the team just like most of us, but you can not deny that McCarthy has been a good football coach. He's not great. He's not perfect. But who is? This year, the team started winning when the defense found its groove (also Micah got healthy). If Dak were healthy they probably would have made the playoffs. They did start off badly...but the defense had a lot to do with that early on. It appears that you don't like McCarthy and that's fair. The man has gone 49-34 and has dominated the NFC East when they have Dak. They need to get over the top and McCarthy has not done that yet. That's a fair criticism. But let's not pretend that he's a terrible coach or hasn't done a better job than the other coaches you mentioned besides Johnson and Switzer. Can you say anything positive about the man? I love listening to you guys and I respect when you are critical but when you only point out faults and talk in such hyperbole it hurts your credibility. Just be more responsible with your platform and speak more fairly. That's all I ask, respectfully.

Not terrible, but it’s apparent that he isn’t the guy; not the difference maker we need to get back in the hunt.

Winning the NFC east 2 of 5 years isn’t dominating the NFC east. The only team to compete with the big boys in a long time from the NFC east is Philly. Dallas gets embarrassed against real competitors.

My question to you Bobby is when are you going to point the finger at your favorite qb, dak. Dak is the reason they can't win. Look at the winning qbs. If dak took less money then maybe they could build a team like the baltimore ravens. The problem is Jerry was so stupid and gave dak that money. His biggest mistake. You can't win a superbowl with dak at his salary. That is the reason why they can't win. Neither Romo or dak could even snif Troy aikman talent. You can't win with good qbs being paid top money. When you criticize dak would be your first time. Are you getting paid by dak representation or something because you don't give good opinions? Mike won with a hall of fame qb not a good qb like dak
