- Hello my friends! I just love patterns that resemble different fabrics.
This one reminds me of the beautiful houndstooth cloth! I almost called
it the Imitation Houndstooth Cane demo but it is clearly a double twisted cane,
hence the name. 😃 This is a very simple design and easy to reproduce!
Black and white is gorgeous and the color combinations you can use for
this cane are endless…. Enjoy! ✨✨✨

Another great video. I tried the bead release in the middle and my mandrels weren’t long enough for me to get enough to hold onto. i’ve been trying to get a decent used concentrator. My concentrator died halfway through a demo I was doing at Oktoberfest. I am now on my second machine from the same company. I have another show on Thanksgiving weekend and I’m going to have to make this machine work until I can hopefully get another one from this company. The flow of oxygen has an eland flow to it. So the flame will be set and then it will increase and then go back to the way I originally had it set. It continues to do this. i’ve had to turn the torch way down with a small flame otherwise when the flame increases it’s a small reduction flame which really messes up a lot of my transparent glass. It’s been very difficult to reduce double helix glass. But I persevere. Hope you are well.
Hi! Thanks for one more brilliant tutorial. My "to do list" is getting longer and longer... Today I have tried to make my first twisted cane (not double yet), tommorow I will see how does it look like 😅 Everything goes slowy but steady but... I still make my white looking smokey. I remember not to work too close to the flame cones and melt it down slowly but it doesn't work. Some of the colors (white, pale blue) look like they were boiling. I went really down with my flame (I have Nortel Minor torch and two oxygen concentrator - so not so huge equipment😜) and I don't think my flame is very big. Maybe the problem is in the proportion of the propan and oxygen? I wonder if you can help me or I have to "get there" by myself by practicing 🤔 ☺ Cheers! Barbara
