The reason the raw honey in this case was clumpy is because it had already started to crystallize. All natural honeys crystallize, some far more than others. It just depends on the nectar source. This test is not an accurate way to determine processed versus natural honey.

Any liquid honey you buy in a store has been processed.
Raw honey is liquid when freshly extracted from the hive frame. But will slowly thicken to a kinda semi solid state . Thats why you should be looking for raw honey in a jar or container that you can scoop out with a knife.

    • @MrTrombonebandgeek

All honey crystallizes over time and becomes a semi-solid regardless of it’s been filtered, pasteurized or raw

The issue being is that what he showed was more “fresher” honey vs honey that’s starting to crystallize in a deceptive way. Where the fresh/reheated “filtered” honey was poured on the side making it hard to see while the crystallizing “raw” honey was poured into the center with more poured out

All honey gets filtered. You've never eaten honey with big chunks of wax, bees wings, large clumps of pollen and other stuff. The filter is literally just a cloth. Its not negatively affecting honey in any way. You wouldn't eat unfiltered honey once you saw it. I think maybe you mean processed or unprocessed. Which is more accurate. Processed honey is at least half corn or rice syrup and heated heavily. This make it lighter and easier to work with but is obviously an abomination. Natural raw honey is still completely liquid btw. It takes quite a long time for honey to crystallize. My grandpa's leftover honey the year prior when we harvest new honey is usually just barley starting to crystallize by that point. If your "raw" honey looke like rock candy like in the video its either very old or im thinking its also been messed with in some way.

I will check this out with 2 different brands of honey we have at the moment.
I actually suspect that one is raw/good (it tastes better too), and the other not...
Edit: Test done and I can happily say that both sink nicely, without diluting.
Taste do tend to vary a bit though and one IS simply better.

Mostly on burns sometimes cuts, most recently a cat bite, and most miraculously I saved a cat's life from a really bad brown recluse bite. As part of a regular cleaning routine it saved the cat's life and the cat went from being unable to move to wanting to go outside within 5 days which is miraculous to me. Brown recluse bites are really really bad and can take weeks or even months to heal

Fair enough but the way you squeezed both honey into the glass of water was different. You tilted the glass and squeezed the filtered honey in a way it sticks to the glass I can literally see it has stuck onto the glass. In comparison, you squeezed the raw honey directly into the glass straight down the middle and kept the glass straight without any tilting. Stop misdirecting and misleading people. At least do the experience in an unbiased way.
