Hi Riya and thanks! I believe you choose your preference when you are applying for a room, but you can also have your bed style changed once you move in. There is a side by side option and I don’t think there’s a limit on its availability.

I am attending IU this fall and I am in the Kelley School of Business but my roommate who I've been friends with for a while is not, he is in pre-business and wants to be in Kelley later in the year or next year hopefully. Can he still live in the KLLC at McNutt and could we dorm together? Thanks!
Hi Nick! Congrats- the KLLC has actually been moved to Eigenman and is now the JLLC.I believe its still available to pre-business students (there is an application). Hope it works out :)
Oh wow! I did not know that it was moved to Eigenman! I was mainly reading about McNutt because I thought that was where the KLLC was (JLLC I guess). Do you know anything about Eigenman? @@Nicknet2020 I know a bit about it- no major problems that I know of. The unique feature is the height which could mean + best view in Bloomington - long elevator waits/stair climbs haha
hi, i just got accepted into iu for this fall and i’m kinda confused. i’m going to apply for housing but i have no idea where to live? i’m going into human biology in the college of arts and sciences and i don’t know where or even what neighborhood most of those students dorm. before i thought everyone was everywhere and it didn’t matter but it seems mcnutt is mainly for the kelley kids? literally any insight on this would mean the world, thanks.
Congratulations Mackenzie! I was also very confused when it came time to decide where to live; so hopefully I can be of help now. You apply to live in any dorm you'd like! As a human bio major, it might make more sense to live in central/southeast campus for proximity to classes (www.rps.indiana.edu/housing/locations/index.html). Because half of McNutt is a Living Learning Center (hub of students pursuing a specific area of study) for business, it's at least 50% for business students. With that being said, you could still apply and live there! You might just learn more than you wanted about accounting. Hope this was helpful and let me know if you have any other questions.
Looking at colleges rn (im a junior) from the website the pics looked bad atleast I found a well video of the dorm itself imo the dorm room itself is kinda bad could be a little better they need to update the dorms for sure I looked at other colleges like uiowa and their dorms are more updated academics tho for uiowa arent good
So funny that you should mention that- IU just released that this dorm and one other are actually being rennovated very soon. If a nicer dorm is appealing you might be interested in Spruce which is much newer.
@@MatthieuVlogs That's nice I wanna attend here next year I was comparing other colleges like uiowa and others (midwestern specifically) but indiana appealed to me the most with its high graduation rate and good acceptance rate fits in my range also I saw you went in the "kelly school of business colab study room" is that available in a certain floor to all residents of the mcnutt dorm?
@@daxtercasella That's good to hear! I actually have no idea what the rooms will be like after the renovation but based on other dorms at IU I would imagine that there will be a lot of collaborative spaces :)
@@MatthieuVlogs Im curious to see how the dorm will look like after its renovation how long is the renovation gonna take? you should def make a vid if your gonna be in the dorm after the renovation it kinda sucks that indiana university doesn't show a tour on youtube for their dorms especially since most of the universities I looked at had dorm tours
