Hello! Congratulations on your one year! We moved to Mexico city two months ago! We are having the time of our lives! We absolutely love the green space and cooler weather vs. Los Angeles.
Don’t feel bad about getting your preferred foods in Costco 😉 Because people from other countries do the same in US at ethnic stores with no shame hehe. Costco is great and I prob will find myself doing the same as Mx-American bc of comfort/preference also God bless you both! 💜 ur video made me happy
Been living in Mexico now for going on four years after living here part-time for 15 and I really enjoy having a car to explore Mexico. My wife and I travel around Mexico a few times each year for about 6,000 miles each year these last 4 years and have seen some really beautiful and interesting places and people. I am 75 years old and my wife's about 10 years younger and we have a 8-year-old Maltese that travels with us a lot of the time. We will continue to drive and explore around Mexico and then return to our home base in Bucerias Nayarit.
Congrats!🎉 lol this is my 3rd video of yours that I watched! Anyhow, as of lately, I've been entertaining the idea of purchasing a resort room for my family and for the first few years, possibly permanently - crazy? Possibly, lol so I was wondering which ones would you recommend on the east side along the golf side? This wacky idea came to me while watching that one where you two were rating a resort that had bad reviews etc! Let me know your thoughts please? These places in Mexico possibly might not even offer this to the public, so I'll check into it more soon enough! ❤
thank you for watching! There are so many resorts down here. We haven´t stayed at them all😆. We do not know about purchasing resort rooms for long term, sorry. Maybe that might be a video for a later date.
Summers just seem tough in Mexico. I lived in Acapulco in the 80s for several years, actually on the beach a few miles outside of the city, Pie de La Cuesta, and the summers were terrible, and the ocean was rough. Winters are a different story. That being said, summers in Minnesota are I’m sure beautiful. It’s hard not being there I would think in the summer. A air conditioned car would be nice at times in your area, as I feel little pieces of paradise exist all around the Yucatán.
ooh Acapulco! Would you recommend it? Summers in Minnesota are the best but the winters are terrible. We agree, there are pieces of paradise everywhere- hoping to find as many as we can.
What about with illnesses and parasites? With food etc? Lots of people that visit Mexico recently especially those from UK have been experiencing going home with finding out down the road they have cyclospora infection. I just got back on the 8th from Bahia Principe Akumal stayed two weeks. No problems at all, loved it. But a lot have mentioned getting it from there upon coming home from what I read. Just wondering how you guys living in Mexico have dealt with adjusting your system to that food cause its definitely a bigger impact then most destinations I know when I return to Canada every time it takes me about a week to readjust to dairy here its weird happened twice now both times I visited I get stomach pain for a week upon return every time I consume dairy.
I think it definitely takes time for your system to adjust. i notice that my stomach actually feels better in Mexico. Every time i return to the states it takes my system about a week to adjust to the foods in the US. I think the foods in the US are over processed but i am no scientist or doctor, i am just going by the way i feel.
It is routine for a lot of people here in Mexico to take a De parasitic med twice per year; especially in tropical climates. It’s called Loxal and the brand here is called Loxcell.
Interesting. Mexican here. I always have stomach problem every time I travel to the States; I'm staying too little time, I said to myself. My last visit was two months and there was seldom a day when I didn't have stomach problems. I experienced no problems during my two months in Canada, though.
After living in Playa Del Carmen im really sick of the rat race here no different than the states. Concrete jungle, too many people… its a mess. Getting out of this area.
Only Taco Bell put sour cream on their tacos and cheese. The original taco is bobble tortita and very small are original tacos. I am Mexican and for me is hard to go back and live in Mexico is so Mach cartel activity everywhere. And tourists areas are super expensive and you don’t want to live in the barrió. Is more ideal to live on the border inside USA and visit Mexico border towns for dental work or regular doctors visits If you don have health insurance way cheaper. Our justice system is very corrupt I don deal with that you never win. With all respect living in tourist areas is almost like live here is not like Mexico anymore is American business everywhere McDonald’s,tacos bell, cosco, sams club, burger king. And $$$$ expensive $$$$mucho dinero. And the dollar at 17 pesos you can buy shhh is super peso now way to expensive.
Pay no attention to the silly comment above, it is not like he/she is paying your bills and feeding you. There is 64 million latinos in the USA, and they are working and seeking a better life, so there is nothing wrong with a few Americans/Europeans looking for a place to live theirs last days in peace and tranquillity and picking Mexico. It is not like you are coming to take the mexican jobs, on the contrary your money helps the economy.
I live on the south side of Chicago and it's perfectly fine In fact Chicago is treated like Mexico it's way overblown,St.Louis and Detroit are way worse It's not even in the top 10 of dangerous cities

@@63saruman it always takes time for us to adjust back to US food. I truly think it’s over processed and too many chemicals 😳😔
I was in Cancun last summer, it was hot, almost felt like Dubai.
So you still hooked on processed foods.
not hooked, but it´s what easily available
You live in Puerto Morelos?
yes
It is hot in the Caribbean! But I do not think is hot as you think in the highlands
yes the Carribean is hot. The HIglands are much cooler
I still want to hear the mom's jock.
Congratulations 🎉. How’s your Spanish now? 😊
getting better slowly..lol!
Be part of Atomy Mexico community. You are much welcome!

Literally our country open the door at yours and right now don't feel comfortable for our country 🙄
I am sorry you do not feel comfortable. Not our intention, we love and appreciate Mexico for everything it has to offer

do not say "we", you can say "I". I am Mexican myself, and I will rather get Americans/Canadians neighbors than people like you.

Love that. Goes to show that we shouldn’t listen to all the bad😁
Hyde Park of course is on the South Side of Chicago and it’s quite posh
There nothing like the good ole USA
